Eve Online Do you guys like the new event site?

What am I missing here? I've been at it for 2 days straight already and I've only made 80m ISK total. I spend 2 hours each just looking for C1-C3 WH space and then after scanning everything down and finding that half of the relic and data sites are forgotten or unsecured (if any of the 15 anomalies are not gas sites), the relic and data sites give me 4-20M.

It's 3-5 hours of work for 4-20M gross rev. It's complete garbage. Not to mention with 10 hours of just sitting in WH to WH as an uncloaked Alpha I obviously risk and did get killed by a multibox bubble user somewhere in there, meaning I only made profits of about 25M TOTAL after 10 hours of gameplay.

I'm starting to get the feeling that people are referring to taking the Forgotten and Unsecured sites to get higher rates, but as a new player in a purely exploration vessel I can't really do those. Is this normal? Maybe I should just up my combat capabilities and get ready for T2 mission running or something. 25M in 10 hours doesn't seem very worth when I know very well others are making 10-30x that much and also I can make much more than that sitting afk on a venture in hi-sec while doing Project Discovery analyses.
