    Day Five: GSFOE

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 12:36 PM PDT

I am attempting to post an end-of-the day report each day of the war so far called World War Bee II. I'm attempting to catalog the various skirmishes and events in a simple easy-to-read format. While there are many layers to any conflict, some not seen and others showing themselves in various chat channels and propaganda, I would like to give the most people possible a layman's understanding. I have done my best to give the best battle reports and context but if you would like to submit corrections or feedback, please DM me on Discord at January Valentine#9887. If you like, check out my new blog: https://somethingyoushouldknow.substack.com/ where I'll be cross-posting this and other stories I find interesting.

    • D4KU-5 - Fuel Cartel Border Zone B To cover two Panfam fortizars onlining in Hophib, a Pandemic Horde Navy Augoror fleet jumps in and starts reinforcing the Ansiblex jump gate. An AAR from from Initiative FC Bjtflame and LotusCobra picks up from there:

So we actually just wanted to take the fight on the ansiblex to push them off and I pushed carriers and faxes through as well because the system was inhibited and was relatively risky but we still took the chance. INIT formed Nightmares & Carriers to defend, jumping through the JB into the PH fleet to push them off of it. A quite bloody fight ensued, which saw even numbers of ships dying on both sides however INIT heavily lost the isk war due to losing a few capitals and flying a blingy Nightmare doctrine. Goons showed up to help & PH fucked off since they were no longer outnumbering INIT 2:1. At some point, Initiative brought in a capital wing of three Revelations, one Phoenix, nine Thanatos, 11 Archons and 1 Nidhoggur, gating them L-A5XP as the system had been cyno jammed. Panfam responded quickly, bringing in their own capital forces very quickly from the station on the D4KU gate grid in Hophib. They brought in 24 Revelation, 14 Naglfar and two Moros dreadnought as well as 1 Archon and 14 Thanatos carriers. The only capital loss from Panfam's side was a Revelation that dsycn'd while jumping back to Hophib. Despite the two fleets trading roughly 1:1, Imperium forces lose 35.8 over 227 ships to Panfam's losses of 216 ships worth 19.5.

Roughly 12 hours later Northern Coalition. took a Ferox fleet with a Jackdaw wing from Pandemic Horde and then went next door to start shooting the fortizar. They then pinged for reinforcement Munins as The Initiative formed a response Abaddon fleet. Despite the fortizar's own defenses taking out some of the Jackdaws and the frigate support wing, Panfam manages to put the Fortizar into its first armor timer as well as shoot the logistic Apostles belonging to Pandoralica.

    • Querious Skirmishes A skirmish involving over 600 players in 49-U6U in the region of Querious contesting a TCU timer. Brave Collective fleet commander gives the after action report:

Originally we were covering the tcu timer for 4-07 as goons had a jackdaw fleet formed for it, when we undocked our Muninn fleet they ran home so we went into 49-u to bash the ansiblex to force them to form again, we got it down to 8% armour before Goons counterdropped with a carrier fleet with a Muninn support fleet. We pinged off and returned into 4-07 and goons didn't follow, FI.RE then formed a Cerberus fleet to see if we can sneak the last 8% and we rushed in and managed to get the last 8% with 4s left on repair, on the way out we managed to split the Muninns from their Carriers so decided to engage knowing full well its a bad idea and that there's likely a 2nd wave. They drop the 2nd wave quite quickly and we kite away but due to some solid work by the goon Huginn pilots they managed to web my monitor down and we couldn't keep kiting. Shortly after we pinged off and returned to Catch, goons didn't chase.

Despite losing 28.4b over 213 ships to the Imperium's 12.7b, the fleet commanders Stan Loona and Raeph Mikakka from the Legacy side seemed to enjoy the fleet as a good learning experience.

A few hours later, close to the stroke of midnight, Nimrodz2 takes a small Munin and Jackdaw fleet in the same system and skirmishes with an Imperium Caracal and support fleet. The Legacy FC loses 1.2b to the Imperium forces 945mill. Small fights like happen almost around the clocks as Legacy Coalition alliances such as Evictus., Brave Collective continue to offensively entosis the region.

    • Miscellaneous Battle Reports
      • TEST Alliance loses two Control Tower POSs in Period Basis; the first one at approximately 0200 in XZ-SKZ and the second one around 0600 in TCAG-3. According to a reddit post, they both were titan staging POSs.
      • Streamer Xtra Squishy takes out a Panfam destroyer and frigate fleet out to 1DQ1-A, despite the overwhelming response fleet, they manage to destroy roughly 3.1b in ships losing 267m over 14 ships.
      • In XZ-SKZ, Legacy Coalition loses twoanchoring Raitarus in Period Basis, one from TEST Alliance and the other from Wrecktical Supremecy. This system is hotly contested as it is two jumps out from the regional gate 1-2JP4 into Delve.

Muffins of Mayhem lose war and 3B ISK War HQ to the alliances it attacked.

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 05:33 PM PDT

Muffins of Mayhem has been wardeccing alliances for easy abandoned structure kills. Except this time they did it to organized alliances with combat pilots.

After being hit with the wardec, S I L E N T. (unaffiliated and much much better than Silent Company) marched down to Torvi to attack their structure, only to discover it has already been reinforced into armor. The fleet makes note of the time and comes for the armor timer and syncs up with Ronin for the first armor timer.

Muffins have equipped their station with deadly dps. Combined with pilots flying ECM and alts ramming between logi pilots to disrupt reps, the station puts up formidable resistance. The Armor timer is saved at 7% and the Muffins have done significant damage.

A small group of Drekavacs returns later to take the shields out again and encounter no resistance.

The next battle for the armor timer takes place. This time, the two alliances have coordinated a strategy of one primary fleet for dps on the station, and a second force of tackle/ewar pilots to take down the scorpions. The strategy is remarkably effective and the structure is reinforced into structure.

The final battle for the station, more pilots show up for the weekend and to get on the kill. It's expected that Muffins will resort to drastic measures to save their expensive citadel. The attack is made, using a similar strategy as before and the Muffins cannot field ships to engage without them being lost to frigate tackle. Eventually, the Muffins give up as any more defenses launched will just pile up their losses.

The kill shall be celebrated by all of EVE as a war well fought.

    Data on Relic sites

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 04:51 PM PDT

well well well... i just saw a post regarding relic site exploration, and it seems like there are ALOT of (wrong) "guestimates" and not alot of real numbers in that post, so here are a breakdown of my experiences.

I have data from 165 as of today. I'm aware it isn't an huge amount, however, i'll continue to collect the data as i enjoy that sort of stuff. Here's the breakdown of what i have found.

Some people mentioned an average difference of 400% between Gurista/sansha sites compared to the others, which is wrong by a huge factor. While angel and blood raider on average pays about 17M pr site, Guristas and Sansha averages about 35M, so twice as much, which is admittedly still a big deal. However, don't discount Serpentis, as it averages at about 28M, which is pretty close to the "good" sites.

Others mentioned they saw a drop to about 10m on average pr. site. Dunno if that was an unlucky goon or whatever who only ran Blood Raider sites, but they still average quite a huge margin over 10M.

I cannot comment on the "ISK/h" as i just run whatever sites i stumple upon when i do wormhole mapping, so ISK/h isn't really the idea for me here.

FW plexes need to be adjusted

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 12:31 PM PDT

To make it short: i think there are only two options...

    A) faction (especially pirate) ships and T2 ships should be restricted to a size one up from what they can enter now

    Or, preferrably:

    B) add a new plex size where only T1 frigates can enter. T2 fitting is fine.

It js just super annoying that either you get only into fights with Comets, Hookbills, Succubuses and Asteros or rarely fights at all.

Your experience may differ, but that's how a day of FW looks right now.

    Opinions?

Everyone tells me to join a Corp, but is there a place to find friends?

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 10:58 PM PDT

I know it'll help to join a Corp, but I generally have a hard time jumping in with a lot of people. I was wondering if there was a forum to find someone to help me get into the endgame and find me "job"?
