    If you read the Polygon article you probably saw the claim by Vily that he was constructively fired. This didn't fit my memory of what happened at all, and you may have seen other posts from me where I mention that Vily has a very... creative way of construing things. Then I noticed Schwa comment on how it wasn't true. Laz messaged me and said that Vily wasn't fired. I saw this from Tib in a channel I'm in:

    So all these directors saying that really piqued my interest. I'll admit because it very much fits in with my narrative that Vily lies to his own guys so I wanted to have really bulletproof evidence and I've done a lot of background on this one. Luckily I found out we have his exit interview with Sion (our chief of staff at the time). (Quick aside: I don't like posting private convos but in this case the convo was a "business" convo not a personal one and the person in question is directly contradicting what they said then to push their new narrative).

    You can read it and judge for yourself but the summary of his reasons for leaving is that he wasn't feeling challenged and felt like we were blobbing too much. All perfectly valid reasons to leave Goonswarm in 2015, I was feeling the same things then. But he was most certainly not fired, he was still a director (I have the logs of him leaving Illum, everyone is very respectful), he was just tired of Goons in 2015. If he was mad about being fired why wouldn't he have mentioned it in the interview? He gave many other reasons so why would he just fail to mention that one which now he says was the only reason? Flash forward 5 years and he's telling game mags that he was fired to generate a narrative and it exactly fits the pattern of deception we've seen so far this war where the facts are changed to fit a narrative vision.

    Finally got my C1 Sotiyo online

    Solo player looking for something fun to spend hours on, so I spent it on dozens of trips into a C1 wormhole, hauling in all of the construction materials to make both a Sotiyo and freighter to deploy it. Finally got it online today after dozens of hours of "Warping to Stargate" Online, fully armed, fully rigged. Going to use it for capital blueprint research unless I think of something else fun to do with it.

    EDIT: Yes, I'm aware I won't be able to refit, repair, or tether come January. As long as my other station services work, which they will as far as CCP has stated, I don't care.

    A Year in Player Population

    For those who arent aware, a year ago we had some of the worst player numbers on record, likely a mix between WoW Classic, blackout fallout, and bot culling. A year on, we have seen some of the best in years, likely due to some improvements on CCP to rolling out rapid updates, covid-19 bringing new and old into the game, and the launch in Korea.

    Personally, I was a supporter of blackout, but in hindsight maybe I was a bit zealous about it. But on a personal level I can confidently say I like where CCP has gone with the game over the past year, has there been hiccups? Sure, but they have put real effort into trying interesting things (ex. filaments) which have brought overall strong content to the game, and have shown interest to continue in this route. They are also making the uncomfortable but appropriate decision to deal with some of the bigger issues in eve (resource distribution in nullsec, citadel mechanics), and maybe some of it may be looked at as not successful but the attempts are needed. Love the new ballsy CCP, it will lead to a healthier game in the long-run even if it requires backtracking on the things that dont work (which is okay, lets not have a stroke when a company tries something new and correctly reassesses).

    I circled the red boxes just to say Im fairly certain these were days eve was hit by DDOS attacks, the far right one might have been something else cant remember.

    O7 Pilots,

    dont know if you also discovered the GM stash containers with a riddle for the password. Many players are not aware of this event or thinks its boring. The Containers are placed in locations like belts, moons or planets. I Hunt this stashes with my friends and came across a stash with the Questions "What is the strongest Ship in Eve". So we thought "Easy one".... but while DScanning we realised its out in space... cant combat probe... not in line of a other celestial......
    So we DScannend / Bookmark-warped to get closer...

    over 2H, 122 Bookmarks and nearly biting the Keyboard later.... we found it.....

    Well, the loot was..... normal... like other cans...

    so.... dear GM that placed that thing there: WTF? Why?
    I mean, yes, we saw the strongest Ship in eve while pinpointing the location - the Friendship - but it nearly got destroyed over the frustration and self-doubts.

    Dear other players, is there a better way to find a container in space?

    CPP Fix Navy Battleships!

    There was a post that reached the front page a week ago about this very issue. Please rework Navy Battleships CCP. Currently, they serve no purpose in the game. Everything they can do, a normal battleship can for 1/3 the price or spend the extra on a pirate ship which can do it better then a navy. I'm making this post to continue the awareness on this issue.

    Why is it that I can make 500 corporation contracts but I can only do a very limited amount of alliance contracts through the corporation? It's a logistical nightmare.

    PLEASE let me do 500 alliance contracts

    Edit: For those who will tell me to just use alts, why do I need alts for alliance contracts but not corporation contracts? That's my argument.
