    Since the subreddit is being filled with strong opinions, here is a mega thread where you can post them instead of having 3,000 individual posts about the event.

    EDIT: This thread has received some criticism for lacking context. So here you go...

    Triglavians are spooky guys who live in Abyssal space (I think, maybe they just hang out there). They fight Drifters too in wormhole space.

    Start of YC121 a very spooky group of Triglavians hacked some billboards and started sending EVE mails to warn capsuleers that they would be making changes to New Eden. They claimed that Drifters must be extirpated, Sansha must be extirpated, Rogue Drones must conform or be extirpated, and Capsuleers must "prove the direction of their flow".

    Around this time, Proving Grounds started opening up, which allowed Capsuleers to "test" themselves in the eyes of the Triglavians.

    Then, March rolled around and suddenly folks going to Abyssal space saw large warships begin constructed. Come May, the Triglavians had begun invading New Eden, for a new type of "Proving", "Liminal Proving". Capsuleers could fight with or against the Triglavians to swing support for a system, and once it was fully taken over by the Trigalavians, they started doing highly spooky stuff to the sun of the system.

    Now, because of their sun-mucking, some gates in New Eden are shutting off temporarily (power fluctuations and other science things are happening to the electricity.)

    Killmail parsing will be temporarily disabled after downtime on Oct. 13th, 2020.

    It has become apparent through an SDE leak that there will likely be many systems that are going to get remapped into a new region. So, to prevent screwing up statistics, I am going to temporarily pause killmail parsing after 20201003 1100UTC until I see how the changes affect geography and how I might be able to write code to keep things as simple as possible. I can't say when I will bring back the killmail parsing because I don't know all the facts yet. I want to keep statistics as unaffected as possible.

    If anyone has ideas or more knowledge, let me know!

    edit: it'll be a mini zkill only blackout as far as kb intel goes for anything happening after downtime

    Come on, guys, its a neat little lore event that's going to last a day at most. People are acting like CCP stole all their isk, deleted all their ships and murdered their pets.

    Yeah, I understand some people are frustrated at being stuck in systems with down gates. There was plenty of warning for this however, and if its that big a disruption you can not play eve for a day or two.

    This isn't the end of the world, eve isn't dying, so untwist your panties and enjoy the spectacle.

    PS: I am also taking the stuff and ISK of anyone who quits. Just PM me on reddit, and Ill send you my Character name, and I'll take care of your things in this dead game.

    Doesn't make much sense, but I always thought it would be kind of crazy to have humans of the Solar system rediscover a way into New Eden via wormholes. I mean there wasn't anything in the lore to suggest that humans from Sol were going extinct right?
