    I get a lot of new Eve players coming in to our corp asking about how to make isk. A hilarious trend I've noticed is bittervets chiming in with their 'helpful' advice to these week old characters.

    An example of this was a newbie talking about running explo. He was less than a month old in Eve and asking if the ~100M/hr-ish he had been making was good.

    Bittervet chimes in on comms and tells him that no, this is bad isk. Instead, said newbie character should be dualboxing rorquals on an R64 or using a cap to rat in a C5. Exploration is garbage isk and he should just abandon it.

    Dear bittervets: Fuck off with this.

    New players desperately need the experience of things like navigating wormholes. That is valuable knowledge they can someday use for more advanced playstyles.

    Isk Per Hour isn't everything in Eve, especially now when it's harder to grind than ever. (winter sites excluded, holy hell that's easy isk right now) This is a great time to learn the basics in cheap ships and get used to losing them.

    Some of these guys come into our highsec corp and act like they're immediately top dog because they have 47 nullsec characters with trillions of isk and they know everything and all the advice they offer is shit that's completely unattainable by new characters, or things that require way, way more experience before attempting.

    I'm to the point where I almost want to just start rejecting veteran players at the slightest whiff of too much experience.

    Noobs please apply. You're way more fun to fly with.

    Most banks aren't big enough to be worth defending.

    When they are, the response fleet has so much time to form up that it's rarely engageable. Robbers have adapted by flying 100mn T1 gunless stabbers with no intent of fighting.

    Warping to the acceleration gate to chase off robbers isn't fun for anybody.

    Thoughts on how to improve it?

    I repackaged my T3C yesterday and could not find it anymore. It seems that repackaging T3C destroy the ship but not the subsystems modules. Is this a bug or feature?

    How to kill NPC Sotiyo

    Hello everyone! My name is Benzol and today I want to tell you about killing of the NPC sotiyo. I know that not everyone has heard of them, and only dozens have killed them. Sotiyo NPCs come in two factions, Blood Raiders and Guristas. It's a structure that can be destroyed, and it drops blueprints for Molok, Chemosh, and Dagon for the Bloods, and Komodo, Caiman, and Loggerhead for the Guri. It sounds good, but of course it is relatively difficult to kill this sotiyo (due to lack of information). The most effective way to destroy it is to use 2 or 3 Revelation (no more!) in the correct fit (the fit with an explanation will be in the corresponding section). Below I will describe my experience of interacting with this content, describe my mistakes and explain why you can't do this and how you should have done it.

    How to find sotio?

    You have, for example, angel nullsec, and the NPC on dscan (Yes, this NPC is on dscan) Guristas and before names are rhombuses. So there is a guri sotio in the system. At this stage, you need to avoid kills form NPCs. Why? After the kill from this NPC will appear on the zkillboard, in 10 minutes you will have a lamp in the system, perhaps not one (the lamps belong to the same team, described in the section "who farms sotiyo"). How do I find sotio's location in the system? Combat probes, but the structure itself can not be scanned. You need to scan Mining Hauler that periodically undocks and flying between belts and spots, and then flies back. It is necessary to scan it on undock. In the system with sotio, the NPCs sometimes stand on the gates, as well as attack the citadels and upwell modules, but in my memory it has never gone further than the first timer.

    Who farms Satiyo?

    One single company is engaged in mass farming of sotio. The GALAXY Alliance RANGERS.. If they understand that you will not be able to kill sotio easily in your system (I will tell you how to prevent it below) they will decide to negotiate. As far as I know, their usual conditions are 30% of the loot. They farm in 3 revels, a freighter, and a smallships (sabres, ceptors, cerbs). Agree or interfere, it's up to you.

    Mechanics spawn and Aggression NPCs.

    There are 3 undock options:

    1. Dreadnoughts and sabcap (the most convenient undock for farming)

    2. Battleships and small ships (tolerable undock for dreadnoughts farm)

    3. Cruisers and frigates (dreadnoughts will die very quickly)

    When you appear closer than 1500km to sotiyo, one of three undocks occurs. Until this undock does not start to dock back, a new undock does not come (at least we did not succeed). You can make a double undock. To do this, as soon as the first undock begins to dock (usually the frigates dock first), we fly up to sotiyo, most ships of the first undock remains, and full second appears. This can be done several times. NPCs warp on the grid at a distance of up to 1500 km.

    How to hold NPCs on undock (Prevent other people from farming)

    It is possible to orbit sotiyo in 400 km at a speed of more than 4 km / s. The NPC does not catch up even after rewarp. Also, you can make a lot of spots around sotiyo, come to them on covercloack ships, accelerate to the safe spot, decloack, and as soon as aggression appears, go to the warp and cloack. Thus, holding an undock of cruisers, under which it is impossible to farm, you will almost 100% not allow to kill sotiyo this time.

    How does Sotio's murder happen?

    Dreadnoughts come to sotio and begin to shoot the structure. Sotio is killed for 2 times: 1 time shield and armor, 2 times-structure. After finishing, dreadnoughts need to be taken away from the structure. To do this, you need to stop shooting with your dreads, appear a ceptor or frigate and wait when NPCs try to catch your frigate, the NPC frigates will release the dreads and they will be able to leave. For loot, you need a freighter, since a container with a volume of 400k m3 falls from the sotiyo, repackaging which you can transfer the most valuable thing to the ceptor by dropping the container or through the hangar of the t2 truck fleet, if you customize it. For the truck, you need a spot right under (or above) sotiyo, so that after the murder you can come to 0 to the wreck. Be sure to salvage the wreck, a lot of stuff falls.

    Why not cars, supers, titans?

    The bigger size and amount of capitals, the more NPCs will undock. If you put the super \ carrier further than 1500km, then NPC will not attack, but it will kill the fighters very quickly, very much. If these ships come to the grid in less then 1500km, they will stay there. Yes, there are some cases of killing the Sotiyo with supers, titans, but I'm talking about ordinary mortals. Using dreads is easier and more reliable.

    Fit this and no other, but if you have a lot of money, you can experiment. Also, you need to throw in the ship hangar hoarders with batteries. As soon as the batteries are tight – throw out the horder, kill and loot the batteries.

    How to kill the revels that killing sotiyo?

    Simple enough. Revels are very capacitorneeded, if you use 20-30 bombers with focused void bombs, bombing them in groups, dreads will not last long. Often during the GALAXY RANGERS farm.. put cino and scan inhibitors, take this into account.
