    CCPLEASE shared hangers

    Posted: 07 Apr 2021 01:45 PM PDT

CCPLEASE add privately shared hangers. This will be good for everyone who wants account wide shared hangers, and it will be great for pilots who work together on projects and such. These private hangers could be rented out of structures just like corp offices except others don't get to see it. The pilot who rents the hanger will pay the monthly cost determined by the structure owner and can use access lists to grant other pilots access to the hanger. The owner can set the name of the hanger and everyone who has access can also see who else has access to said hanger. This hanger can be seen in its own section in the same area as corp hangers. Items can not be contracted or sold out of these hangers, they are storage only and for sharing. Industrial jobs can't be performed from these hangers either. This would be a great solution for people with multiple characters to be able to share ships and items between all characters with ease.

The golden rules of fun and content.

    Posted: 07 Apr 2021 07:22 AM PDT

    1. Risk aversion = content aversion = fun aversion.
    2. Don't make it a chore. It's a game and it's supposed to be fun!
    3. Calculate your risks, accept your losses, learn from your mistakes.
    4. Don't let others dictate your playstyle, but do let them push you outside your comfort zone if you want to grow outside of it.
    5. Be competitive, but respect your competitors.
    6. If you start to feel strong negative emotions towards the game or other players take a step back and ask yourself why.
    7. Remember that CCP has every right to make themselves profitable. If you don't like microtransactions don't use them.
    8. Patience has value. Whether it's choosing between training over injecting, evading hostile forces, ambushing an enemy, or playing the market. It can payoff big.
    9. Don't hesitate to take risks. Experience is the harshest teacher, but its lessons are usually the most well remembered. This is, however, highly dependent on your ability to learn from your mistakes.
    10. Time = content potential. Use it or lose it!

I tried to make these as objective as possible. I look forward to and appreciate any feedback.

Questions about exploitation and a situation I'm in as a new player in EVE.

    Posted: 07 Apr 2021 09:16 PM PDT

Hi, long story short I met a guy in EVE who's been helping me out, he's a returning player. He's been doing level 4 missions and set me up with some extra isk to buy a salvaging setup (using a Cormorant). At the moment I'm following after him and picking up everything then hauling it back to station for a trade off later, I get to keep all modules and loot and he gets the salvage. Is this a good deal for my time? each run takes a while and I've been warned not to trust anyone in this game so I'm just being sure. So far the drops have been not great and I'm not getting any isk from the bounties (because I'd get blown up if I was in there at the same time), but he says they'll get better. In addition he also got me into his corp with a minimal tax % so there's that.

I also wanted to know about any common newbro scams/ schemes that go on I should be made aware of, I know this game is a sea of sharks. Thanks guys.

EDIT: I was wrong, I just did the math on this and in the maybe 3 hours we've been doing this I've only made 16m with an avg of 5.4M p/h. He's made a approx. minimum of 100m in 3hr with 10m per sweep, 3 sweeps in each run. So yeah I've been getting robbed, thanks for your help.

"Nomad" Day 1.5: A New Beginning

    Posted: 07 Apr 2021 09:00 AM PDT

Awhile ago I dabbled in the realm of nomad gameplay but didn't make it very far. Only 1 day actually. After my last post I took a bit of a break from everything due to covid taking someone very, very dear to me. A few months went by and I managed to crawl out of my bed, open the blinds, and try my damnedest to start moving on. The community and my little group have been incredibly helpful in this process if for no other reason than to give me a small world to escape to when things get tough. For better or for worse Eve has been a hell of a distraction. All that aside, here it is...

    Day 1.5: A New Beginning

    The Basic Plan:

Once again I've found myself in a C2 with HS/C3 statics. The inhabitants this time are even less active than the last, in an opposite time zone, and seem to be industry focused. I plan to stay here for a month at most.

I chose a C2 for precisely these statics. The consistent High Sec hole is perfect for extracting all the goods and for High Sec mining. I can pop a couple characters + the orca out of the hole and let them mine for a few hours while I work on other projects, watch a movie, etc. That being said, the amount of traffic the system will receive because of this is certainly paranoia inducing. But if worse comes to worse, at least I'll get some content.

The C3 static is what I will be using for PvE. Originally I considered moving into a C3 but with the rotation of the system and the ability to roll holes from the C2 I won't have to wait for the sites to respawn after clearing. I also noticed that a few of the C3's I've travelled through have been null static which will be great for PvP when I'm lucky enough to have them.

The C2 is where I will keep my orca and set up P.I. for the duration of my stay.

    Loadout

I've made some pretty big changes to the loadout since the last time I tried this with the largest difference being nine characters instead of two. Of the nine, six will be used for PI, manufacturing, mining, hauling, and all the other non-combat stuff. The other two will be used as such:

Alt 1: Briefcase Orca/PvP Support(obviously not in the orca)

    Alt 2: Bait/Salvaging/Tackle

Then my main will be used for a little bit of everything.

Here's what I brought with me:

1 Orca (My briefcase with a dedicated toon)

1 Gila (for the C3 sites and Abyssals)

1 Confessor (in case I run into any C13s)

1 Stratios (for PvP, exploration, and if I decide to yeet it's good for everything)

1 Astero (for PvP, exploration, and these Easter event sites)

1 Manticore (for bombing and attempting to kill ships that can't shoot back)

1 Prospect (for mining and huffing gas)

6 Ventures (for mining and huffing gas)

    1 Heron (for baiting fights)

    1 Epithal (for hauling)

1 Nereus (for hauling and P.I.)

    Daily Report

Today wasn't incredibly exciting. If any of you have ever set up T4 P.I. like I hadn't, then you can understand it takes HOURS to get it running smoothly. Especially when you have no idea what the fuck you're doing. Aside from that I warped around in my Astero creating some safes for all of my toons. The next longest part was having to make 11 jumps to the hole, safe log, log into the other toon, make the 11 jumps, safe log, repeat. I'd almost rather do P.I. But there's nothing quite like the rush of adrenaline and anxiety you get from watching your Orca align for what feels like 20 minutes right off the hole. Then after everything was safe and all but 3 strands of hair were left on my head, I hopped back on my main in the Astero and took a peek next door in the C3.

And there he was. The Imicus.

Found the poor little bastard sitting off a POCO with his thumb in his ass. I decloak and throw the point on him. My shaky hands reach for the drone tab to toss out my hobgoblins.

    Deployed.

I spam F while point is still on him. Then the lil asshole warps away. Fucking stabs. And yeah I still get shakes from attempting to kill explorers, don't hate. Comes from PTSD of baits with 6 Dreks decloaking on me.

    Conclusion

Even though the day wasn't very exciting it feels really good to be set up and ready to go again. I'm going to enjoy all the fights, isk, embarrassments, and giving you all the updates on my little adventure.

My old group is going through it atm with people leaving and moving so it's beginning to get a bit lonely once more. MMOs are tough solo. That being said I'm considering streaming this nomad journey on twitch to have a bit of interaction so if that's something you guys might enjoy let me know and I'll see you with the next update.

    Fly safe.

Low Sec Smart bombs gate camps

    Posted: 07 Apr 2021 03:21 PM PDT

¿Does anyone knows a good strat to avoid being smartbombed in every low sec?
I know it's supposed to be outlaw but even using and instawarp frigate you still get killed by some dudes pressing f1.
I know you're going to tell me to check route and shit but the gate camp website has some delay or something because It was all clear and when I warped from gate to gate magically there were 3 reds gate on local.

Idk i just wanted to rant about this for a while because to me it's dumb that moving through null sec it's safer than low sec because the gate turrets that are supposed to avoid there don't work at all..

    TAPI's superior ratting strategy

    Posted: 07 Apr 2021 03:40 AM PDT

Once again we are back reporting from the frontlines. The magisterially smart TAPI pilots prove once again that Goons are stupid and they don't know how to work the regions that they once had. Goaded by Vily's "Delve is safe for krabing" signals, this intrepid TAPI pilot decided that him and his small dps assist/salvage fleet will be far enough and strong enough to deter any uber and ebil goonies from engaging.

Sadly, goons are so stupid that they did the reverse of what was expected, and they didn't run, but actually engaged: https://zkillboard.com/kill/92014943/

We have gathered a few quotes from the involved parties:

Blood Sage, Blood Raiders: I barely cycled my guns on this pilot when i heard "FO FO FO FO FO" at an increased volume. I looked in my rear mirror and i saw goons foaming at the mouth and closing fast. I warped off to a belt, as any Blood Raider knows to do before those maniacs got me.

TAPI Pilot: Vily said it was safe and goons are stupid! Vily said he will SRP my hyperspatial super! Vily said.... *cries*

    Random Goon Pilot: FOFOFOFOFOFOFOFO!

Thank you for reading this totally fair and nonbiased Propagoonda update!

    Posted: 08 Apr 2021 01:26 AM PDT

Yeah, we had our blues, back in the early days.

Sorry about your health issues. Cagali named a Fortizar after you, in GE-.

Goons and some lowsec types (I think it was Dreadbomb, might have been some others) showed up to make a funeral pyre in your honour.

Us and Test - we're mates again - told em to show up again next week. Some Severance and so on showed up as well.

    Hope you're doing OK.

Someone's going to link a killboard on zkill I'm sure. It wasn't a proper funeral pyre, but there's always next week, yeah ?

    Andres.

    CCPlease add a "skin extractor"

    Posted: 07 Apr 2021 05:47 AM PDT

You could probably make some more $$ selling extractors that allow you to remove ship skins from characters to have the tradeable skin again.

    400 dps ab/web Blaster Punisher

    Posted: 07 Apr 2021 06:21 PM PDT

I've been training my navigation and gunnery skills, and while I have quite some time left to get the full potential out of it, on Pyfa I'm looking at a punisher with 408 dps heated, 5k buffer, and 1630 m/s heated while running two 3% damage implants and pyrolancea dose I.

Considering that I suck at pvp, and am generally inexperienced in FW, what I'm curious about is whether this would be able to take down stuff like blaster and/or rail comets. In addition, what frigs should I specifically avoid?

Besides blaster comets, should I avoid/engage merlins given the similar damage and tank profile?

Finally, is 408 dps enough to compensate for the lack of scram?

    My fit:
