| Posted: 27 Jan 2020 04:31 PM PST I have been asked at least two times by the same person a deeply personal question. "Naz al-Ghul, you perfidious alliance-hopping slut. Why are you in TEST now?" and I answered the first time, "How did you get in my apartment? Who are you?" But clearly this person is persistent and represents a massive number of people. I never left Goons. TEST took me away like a thief in the night. Two days into my return to EVE, I was in my Tornado cruising on a sea of stars trying to gatecamp in Delve. I was doing my duty as a citizen of the Imperium, protecting the staging system with massive howitzer cannons while expanding my artistic and literary horizons on Hentai Foundry and the lost archives of Pururin. Another day in paradise. Sure, I might have accidentally shot somebody due to an Overview problem, but beyond that hiccup everything was great. Until it wasn't. I heard the door crash down in the foyer of my apartment. At first I thought it was a standard Black Hand ESI anal cavity check, but like so many things that evening, I was wrong and letting my guard down was a life-changing error. This was not the Black Hand Anal Probe Officer. This was the renegade Reddit mod and noted Ecofascist Jibrish and his Weeaboo Suffragist wife Violet dressed in all-black studded leather armor. "You're coming with us," Jibrish sneered. "Rexchancellor Vily wants a word with you," Violet said. "And you're going to cooperate." "Or what?" "I'll stab you with this knife," she brandished a kris blade, freshly sharpened by the mall kiosk merchant she bought it from. "This knife is covered in a poison so toxic, it will fry your brain and make you really stupid and easily malleable." A weapon to be feared indeed. My erection rose with my fear as if it was a cockatiel crest. I looked to my right, and saw my trusty English Longbow already strung and ready to fire. "Don't you think of grabbing that!" Violet flipped the dagger in the air and grabbed the blade to throw, but cut herself instead. "No! Nooooo!" Violet screamed, clutching her hand. "I'm beginning to like the new Star Wars movies!" Jibrish drew his sword. I loosed an arrow from my longbow which screamed past Jibrish's ear and impaled my Astolfo figure into the wall. Jibrish charged me as I reached for another arrow and drew his weapon: a space heater he plugged into an outlet. The fact that he smashed my face in with it wasn't the real pain. My electric bill would be astronomical this month. "You monster!" I cried out. "Stop! I need to buy groceries!" "Buy your groceries in Hell!" Jibrish said, and turned the space heater up to maximum. "Or join TEST!" "I will never leave Goons!" I shrieked, firing an arrow at the space heater. I scored a direct hit, and Jibrish lept behind my refrigerator as an explosion rocked the apartment complex and fire billowed out of the space heater's shattered shell. "Kendarr! Assassinate this fool!" I shouted. "Kendarr's gone." "What?" "Yep. Went fuckgoons and made his own alliance." I thought for a moment, and noded sagely. "As all good Space Violence FCs do from time to time. This is the way." "This is the way," Kendarr said somewhere else entirely for no reason whatsoever. "Well," I gathered myself. "Pitt! Bomb him!" But no bombs were dropped. "He got kicked." "Wha? Him too? Why?" "He PVP'd from a no-no citadel." "Oh. WIDOT!" "Gone." "Oh..." "This has gone on long enough," Jibrish said. He turned on all my lights in the house. "Join TEST! Or I will LEAVE THE BEDROOM LIGHT ON!" I couldn't take it anymore. Faced with impending financial disaster, I did what I had to do. "I surrender." Jibrish led me out into the yard where I saw the multitude of inflated dinosaurs. The light from my apartment did naught but reveal their silhouettes, making them seem less as a group of individuals but a mass of fantastic nightmare, wiggling and grasping at things they cannot grasp. I felt a prick in my anus. Jibrish had injected my sphincter with a needle. My transformation begun. I felt my bones begin to enlarge and hollow. My skin stretched over them like plastic wrap. I screamed in pain and agony until my skin finally shredded and my transformation was completed. I am now an inflated T-rex, doomed to be reposted endlessly on r/eve despite the best efforts of mods to delete them. "All hail SUAD!" Jibrish said. "All hail Rexchancellor Vily! All hail EmpeRawr Sapporo! TEST Alliance Best Alliance!" And we chanted back, "TEST Alliance Best Alliance," our madness sweeping us into a frenzied rage as we burned down the other apartments. Our imaginations flew on the night's chilly wind like the ghosts of Pterodactyls that still haunt the skies. [link] [comments] |

| Had a 'Red Glowing Dust' moment today - thought I'd share Posted: 27 Jan 2020 03:05 PM PST Been playing EVE on and off for a long time. Over 10 years ago now, when I was 12 and first starting playing EVE, I wasted plenty of hours mining in a bantam, then a badger, then a badger MK. II (boy was I proud of that one). But there was one ship that had my heart, the Rokh. I'd train industrial skills and mine for hours in that badger, hoping to one day purchase the battleship (and probably would have lost it quickly) Well, life goes on and I quit playing EVE for a while. Never got my Rokh. Not even close. I returned to EVE every now and then, but never had a ship larger than a cruiser or destroyer, and never stayed long. I've recently come back and had a lot of success playing Exploration, I hit it big one night - 400mil after a paranoid journey back from null space and lots of crowded wormholes. And I finally did it. I bought my Rokh, as I set it to active and it started flying towards the spotlight area in the hangar, 'Red Glowing Dust' began to play. Its incredible how I could feel so strongly towards something so intangible as a space ship in a video game, but it really felt like I accomplished something. I haven't even undocked it yet. I've just been sitting here gawking at it while typing up this post. Anyway, yeah, theres a grown-up scrub out in the galaxy now with a poorly-fitted Rokh. | I really enjoyed the Dragonaur sites as a good blend of PvE and PvP. Posted: 27 Jan 2020 06:42 PM PST I think this has actually been some of the best seasonal PvE content they added for several reasons.
I personally really enjoyed it for the aforementioned reasons, and hope they keep it up and make it a template for future events and how they are made. I wonder though if they can, because the crux to the whole thing was the new BPCs ( point 5 ) ; overtime it all becomes more saturated and less compelling to farm ... so if they made this a permanent fixture, I wonder how they would keep the interest levels high enough without having "new shinies" that aren't already over farmed in the loot tables ... | Posted: 27 Jan 2020 10:40 AM PST As a new player, terrorized by the Raznaborgs I hastily invested my 1 million skill points into the mining barge. The Raznaborgs would 1 shot my Venture, zapping my fittings into dust. I researched the procurer, the tankiest mining barge and bought it after mining VERY carefully in the venture. Then the first belt I jumped into had a bunch Diamond Kestrels... they warp scrambled me and blew up my hopes and dreams. All I did was warp to a belt then try to warp away. [link] [comments] |

Specifically if Incursions were still being run, as that was where I left off. I also see there are instanced "dungeons" and am curious about trying them out. | "sent to ccp at their customer support so at least i can say i did" Posted: 27 Jan 2020 08:06 PM PST to ccp, you guys keep losing players from invasion events and trying to add invasion at usually pve high security space, also changes to encourage player starbase wars which most alliances wont attack anyone stronger, so avoid strong null sec corps since only pve high sec has small corporation. half your game audience is more pve than pvp, because eve is an mmo (mmos attract mostly pve players). your company complains about new player retention and losing players, and dont even release population numbers anymore, but it is your own fault at ccp. if you are jealous of pve players, why did you even make an mmo? just go make a shooter like battlefield, halo, call of duty. today there is tremendous lagging, i try to use jumpgates and disconnect there after/during jump, or when reconnect try to warp somewhere and it says cant warp because already warping but it has no warp progress bar and doesnt warp somewhere. fix your problems guys, its your own fault. stop ruining high sec with triglavian invasions which should have been in low sec instead, and encouraging attacking weaker corporations instead of strong alliances in null and low sec. you could have made better rules for wars for corporation with a slight bit of brainpower. someone at ccp is trying to kill off your income from eve game or is working against your business from the inside. go invade their office and remove their job instead of your own income. and p.s. to reddit yes i am aware that eve was ddos attacked today, im sure ccp knows that as well, yes thats why i was writing about lag to them. ty [link] [comments] |
