    [SISI] Shield hardener tiericide

    Posted: 24 Mar 2020 10:36 AM PDT

    Active shield hardeners seem to be getting tiericided next.

    T2, meta and faction daptive invuln fields get small resit % buff.
    Domination hardener is now T2 with lower fitting (used to be identical to meta).

    Meta and faction type specific hardeners also get small % buff.
    Dread Guristas is now better than T2 (used to be equal to T2).
    Domination is now equal to T2 with lower fitting (used to be equal to meta and absolutely worthless).
    Caldari Navy is also better than T2 (equal to Guristas). Requires less CPU than Guristas.
    Storyline got even more compact and the resist got buffed from meta to T2 level.
    Gist C-Type was also buffed to be better than T2 (used to be slightly lower resist than T2).

    There are also some cycle time changes. But nobody cares about hardener cycle times.

    Edit:
    Compact meta hardeners go from 12 s to 10 s.
    Enduring meta hardeners go to 15 s.
    Guristas hardeners go from 12 s to 15 s.

    Edit2:
    Missed that there are also new "enduring" meta hardeners. They use less cap and have longer cycles.
    I don't really see the point in splitting shields into two meta variants but maybe people fighting under neuting pressure find enough use for them to justify their existence.

    Adaptive Invulnerability Shield Hardener II:
    Resist: -30.0 => -32.5

    Compact Adaptive Invulnerability Shield Hardener:
    CPU usage: 34.0 => 27.0
    Resist: -25.0 => -29.0

    Enduring Adaptive Invulnerability Shield Hardener CPU usage: 34.0 => 40.0
    Resist: -25.0 => -29.0
    Activation Cost: 40 => 32.0
    duration: 12000.0 => 15000.0

    Domination Adaptive Invulnerability Shield Hardener:
    Resist: -25.0 => -32.5

    'Posse' Adaptive Invulnerability Shield Hardener:
    CPU usage: 34.0 => 27.0
    Resist: -27.5 => -32.5

    For comparison T2 is 55% resist.

    Compact Anti-[type] Shield Hardener:
    CPU usage: 38.0 => 30.0
    Resist: -50.0 => -52.5

    Enduring Anti-[type] Shield Hardener:
    CPU usage: 38.0 => 40.0
    Resist: -50.0 => -52.5
    Activation Cost: 20 => 16.0
    duration: 12000.0 => 15000.0

    Dread Guristas Anti-[type] Shield Hardener:
    CPU usage: 30.0 => 33.0
    Resist: -55.0 => -56.25
    Heat Damage: 4.0 => 3.4

    Domination Anti-[type] Shield Hardener:
    CPU usage: 38.0 => 36.0
    Resist: -50.0 => -55.0

    Caldari Navy Anti-[type] Shield Hardener:
    Resist: -55.0 => -56.25

    Gist C-Type Anti-[type] Shield Hardener:
    Resist: -54.5 => -56.25

    [Storyline] Anti-[type] Shield Hardener:
    CPU usage: 34.0 => 30.0
    Resist: -52.5 => -55.0

    [Faction war news] Enaluri is liberated by galmil forces for the 2nd time in 2 weeks, completing the total liberation of the 101 systems in the Cal/Gal warzone.

    Posted: 24 Mar 2020 12:08 PM PDT

    6 months ago galmil were in T1 and controlled only a handful of systems. Today we celebrate the triumph of TOTAL LIBERATION. All 101 systems in the caldari/gallente disputed zone are now under the direct control of the Gallente Militia.

    The combined forces of GMVA, GoG and NADSC as well as many other non corp Galmil, have performed admirably and reached the highest levels of combat efficiency. We thank them for their service.

    Citizens of the newly liberated systems can rest easy knowing that the Gallente Militia are dedicated to restoring infrastructure and services in affected areas. As well as guaranteeing all civil rights and liberties granted to all gallente peoples. We will rebuild and we will prosper together.

    AAR Of EC-P8R Fight - Horde Perspective

    Posted: 24 Mar 2020 08:34 AM PDT

    Hey all, I don't normally post on reddit. Only occasionally to write an AAR, last time I did was the DO6 fight during the Fade War which was one of the most intense and fun fights I've ever FC'd/been a part of, and now this EC-P is right up there on a list. Wanted to share a AAR of my perspective:

    Formed Horde in Eagles and JT formed Dreads for EC-P Conifers Ansiblex timer. INIT formed Nightmares and Dreads, Goons formed Muninns and Dreads. Conifers had Ravens and Dreads, Seddow brought RC/Volta in Zealots. Fight began as INIT and Goon subs landed at range on Ansiblex. All of our subs focused Nightmares initially, slowly bleeding them, but they had strong logi. INIT brought in their dreads ontop of Conifers FAX and HAWs, then Conifers dropped the hammer along with JT's dreads which totally bamboozled goons and INIT. I managed to kill INITs only 2 cynos on grid which slowed down their counter escalation and the goon dreads. Eventually goons brought their very large dreadbomb in. At this point INIT Nightmares were bleeding and re-positioned to max range, so Seddow and I switched to Goon Muninns. I killed all their Scimis first, then their Claymores/Storks, then their recons, then just went to town on Muninns.Goon Muninns stayed on grid until literally they lost every single one. Then all subs switched to focusing dreads as most of ours died, and we cleaned up dreads with all subs and remaining caps as INIT NMs sat at 120km not able to break our subs besides people off anchor. At this point with a few goon dreads left a 150 man goon eagle fleet landed in the middle of the fight, Seddow and I re-positioned right ontop of them, and it was another slaughter. I called webs on Goon Anchors and they all just sat there with MWDs on in bubbles barely moving. They only brought 2 Bifrosts for links, killed them first, then their small contingent of Basis, then went to town on Eagles. Total slaughter. All in all Goons and INIT had major tactical fuck ups and they couldve 100% easily won this fight. Everyone was shocked with the outcome.

    Thanks Blurkus and Goon FCs for taking the fight, it was epic. See you for the next one! Happy quarantine everyone <3

    Caldari militia update

    Posted: 24 Mar 2020 07:36 AM PDT

    Today the caldari lost the last system in the war zone. The last remaining caldari fighters fought until the very last second of control over the Enaluri system. Good job ladies an gents.

    To the gals

    Good job guys. Had some good fights and some bad ones. See you on the field.

    To the remaining Caldari loyalists.

    You did great with the numbers we had and the skills you possess. We may have lost our systems but this isnt our first time, do not give up the good fight. Push forward and keep fighting. Join fleets, make friends and fight hard. Find corps and alliances that suit you and are goal driven. Anything we do now is progress they cant take any more systems from us.

    Hey, thanks for reading this. I was thinking about playing eve and came across the recruiting option. DM me if you have a discord (not real tech savvy) so we can discuss getting us both credit for recruiting and as much information as you're willing to share. Because I don't know anything about this game. Literally saw an ad on YouTube

    How beginner friendly is EVE?

    Posted: 24 Mar 2020 05:49 AM PDT

    So now that uni is closed I thought I would try and get into something new. EVE looks promising but also massive with a lot of stuff going on. I've also read some reviews stating that you grind a lot then ship gets destroyed and you have to start from zero again, which doesn't sound good. So how beginner friendly is EVE for someone who who never played it and wants to start it just now?
