    New to Eve and baiting suicide gankers is the best thing ever

    Recently, I started shipping some stuff of value (10m to 20m). I was always amazed to see the same people at Amarr and Jita 24/7 just sitting there AFK with their Tornado's. So since I was hauling, I started to think more about these gankers and I noticed there are so many and they are locking me to cargo scan me.

    So I decided to bait them. Since I don't know anything, I learned that you can hide what you are transporting by making a courier contract. So that is what I did and I fitted my Sigil, which I got from my newbie tutorial mission, with two warp stabs (20k). And then I decided to autopilot from Jita to Amarr and alt-tab and do something useful.

    Sadly, I didn't bait a Tornado yet. But on my first run, a Catalyst attacked me. He died when my hull was still 90%. And my contract only had some carbon and Kruul's DNA.

    I am also wondering what it takes to Alpha strike a single suicide ganking Tornado. Does anyone know? Currently training up my two accounts with minmatar destroyer and small projectile. I would fit a Thrasher with 280mm artillery, right? It's going to be so much fun!

    Sadly, my victim refused my message request, so I couldn't harvest that salt. But there will be many more opportunities for that, I am sure!

    My biggest dissapointment as a returning player

    Abundance, and multiboxers.

    Titans and supers were once something special, now it feels like pretty much everyone has them.
    Another thing that bothers me is multiboxing, i think it goes against one of the core aspects of the game, which is making a name for yourself. I just settled in a new system, this system had about 9 players in it. Cool right? Lots of potential people to get to know! NVM its just one guy afking hubs and smartbombing havens :)

    Good to be back though, loads of really cool new stuff like t3 destroyers and trig ships.

    With recent global events causing a resurgence in activity and content in EvE due to the global lockdown of many people, it seemed right to deploy for some good fights and have some fun when both friends and enemies have more numbers to play around with.

    TLDR, my SIG went for a content brawl in Pure Blind, casual ansiblex hitting, turned into a massive shitfest with me almost losing my titan and multiple fights throughout multiple systems. Was fun to see big horde numbers along with Goons+INIT showing up in force.

    Looking forward to more great brawls in the coming future, let's turn the negatives of lockdown into positives by having fun with friends in our favorite game <3

    Appraisals

    If you have rolled any higher and modules (faction, deadspace, officer) and want people to look them over and help you understand their new value, there's an #appraisal channel where people can chime in with estimates. Please read the pins when asking for help with appraisals!

    For t2 mods, decayed or gravid rolled mods, you should check out https://mutaplasmid.space/appraisal/ (shout out to Sharad Heft for this amazing tool!). It is relatively accurate for most outcomes, unless you get something insane ;)

    Selling

    There's a few channels where you can post your mods for sale, ranging from mid-range to bricks and trash.

    Buying

    Chances are some of us hoarders have precisely what you're looking for available. If you need something unique, post the type of item you're looking for and some stats, and if anyone has anything they'll reach out.

    I love this game and community!

    I just started playing this game two days ago, i am loving the depth and complexity of the game. I was exploring a wormhole for some loot as i was pretty broke. I got blown up by someone which was unfortunate. The people transacted 13 Million ISK to my account as payment, which was extremely generous. The rookie chat has been extremely helpful and i can definitively say that this community is extremely kind. This game has won over my heart and i cannot wait to continue playing with you guys.

    Hi all. Fairly new player here. I've recently had luck finding and killing Mordu's ships of all classes. I'm curious if anyone knows the mechanics that make it more likely for them to arrive in a system or rather how to find them in any given system etc. Or do they simply just come and go in low and null sec systems randomly?
