Posted: 03 Apr 2020 05:02 PM PDT dear ccp, how about for tuesday's patch you upload some other adverts. literally fucking anything, the SOE one, the old dead alliance ones, anything. because however bad it looked before, it looks completely embarrassing now. oh, and if you're "working on something blah blah etc", that's great, but unless it's going live on tuesday please put something else up, because having literally one ad running for months is the absolute worst possible situation. having no ads would unironically be more immersive and less stupid looking, and how you don't see this (haha) is beyond me. imagine being a new player. you've been told new eden is supposed to be a hyper-mercantile, dystopian-capitalist war economy. but somehow there is only one advert in the universe, it's for spectacles, and it's on 23/7. just put up a handful, please EDIT: also it would probably be an idea to make some more generic faction and milita ads, sansha, guristas, caldari navy, SOCT, interbus, upwell, etc. concord police messages about ganking - these will last forever and never stop being relevant whilst being a massive baseline boost to the world-building/immersion. No, they are giggling because they SEE that I've stepped away from my computer for 15 or so minutes. This is their time! They MUST take this opportunity... AAAAAND... "Enemies in our space. Get in fleet!" I get back from my shower, nice and clean, ready to do some war. I see the ping that has erupted in my absence... and I cry. I cry rivers. ---- Also, the FCs have access to my ESI scopes. They know what ships I have. I have 7 cormorants that are sweating and champing at the bit. Yet I restrain them. I put my hand on their hulls and whisper gentle words of calm: "Your time will come. You will get into battle." They don't believe me. Their primitive AI heuristics know that I've said that to them a dozen times before. Yet they calm in their dock, knowing that there's nothing they can do to change their sad and sorry state. They must wait. They have no choice... Over the intercom, a cry goes out: "Enemies in our space. Get in fleet!" My cormorants, all seven of them, awaken their battle systems. Surely this time... THIS TIME... they will break their reins. They will blaze out of the Keepstar, ready to savage the enemy. Their engines spool up. They can smell the enemy on their d-scans. This moment. This day. They will unleash hell... Then... "Feroxes>osprey>dictors" My seven cormorants, their primitive heuristic AIs overwhelmed with disappointment, flip their self-destruct circuits to the "ON" position. ---- I'm sitting in dock, watching videos on interstellarpornplace.com. I could be out ratting. Or mining. Something to make dank ISK. Yet I know that if I leave dock, stop watching porn, and DO something, that a ping will happen while I'm too far away to answer it. So I wait. Patiently. Like a tiger in the brush. Suddenly, the space around me grows hot with microwave communication beams. "Fleet up! Something to do! I need girth, people! Probably a fight ahead." I sit up. My right hand emerges from under the console. I slap the "Join Fleet" button. This is my time! I can finally get more killmails! I need the killmails to justify my existence. Oh yes, yes, those killmails are key to my advancement to Blessed Beans. Truly, the highest honor accorded to a line pilot in Pandemic Horde. I can also bypass the bouncer at the Gated Systems Club. Finally! I must prove my worth. I slap the undock. I'm ready. Freeburning 15 jumps. It is nothing. Going through ansiblexes at the cost of 40,000 ISK each. It is nothing. My ears are attuned to the FC. My warp engines scream at maximum power. We emerge in the desto system. There it is.... The Athanor. Our Athanor. We must defend it! It's in the hull repair timer. "Form on me," the FC yells into our comms. "We're going to defend this to our LAST ship." My crucifier hums, its jammers ready. My Warrior I drones are out, orbiting my ship, ready to kill. One minute passes. Then two. Then three. The repair timer is ticking down, down, down to zero. No matter. Certainly the enemy will come. There will be a fight. I wait. My finger hovers over the F1 key, quivering slightly with adrenaline. A bright flash. A glow. The repair is complete. "OP SUCCESS!" The FC crows. "Let's go home bois." My finger moves over to the Self Destruct button, just six inches away from the F1 key. It hovers there for a moment, then slams down. "Self destruct initiated." It's faster this way. Posted: 03 Apr 2020 06:22 AM PDT This isn't a CCPlease, I just sometimes like to imagine how the game would look like with various dramatic changes, so here's today's alternate universe EVE: Titan bridges don't exist, and carrier application is drastically reduced. Instead, (piloted) subcaps can dock inside carriers, taking up about as much volume as they do currently in the SMB. The carrier takes any docked ships and their pilots with it when it jumps, and the pilots can then choose to undock with their ships ready to fight. For reference, carriers have enough room for about 10 cruisers or 23 destroyers/frigates, while supercarriers can fit 25 cruisers or 100 smaller ships, each. As a result, carriers become more of a utility ship, allowing you to deploy a subcapital fleet to a grid (much like you do with titan bridges currently), but also force you to commit capitals if you choose to do so. edit: clarification [link] [comments] |

Because it would be nice to know, as i don;t want to lose that implant, and will stay docked if it part of that. Or if not i might have fun dying during the hunt (i suck at pvp) And wit the above said, i think it is high time this implant was converted to a skin, because i find it silly that it is the only exception to the skin system and then it would not be a worry in events about 'dropping implants' [link] [comments] |

| Unable to sign up for EVE testing Posted: 03 Apr 2020 11:38 PM PDT hello everyone I'm new to this game and I want to try the test server, but I am unable to sign in with my accounts; I have 2 accounts: my steam account and my actual EVE online account. when I try to sign in with my steam account it just says "we are currently in the process of creating your new EVE account, please try again in a few minutes." (yes I did wait) and when I tried to sign in with my actual EVE account it said "invalid username/password." I don't know what's wrong. [link] [comments] |
