Here's the post below, to save you a click. Where's my 4D chess: Jobs for all or jobs for one?The only way to win against larger numbers in eve is to be smarter. Smarter with your fittings and ship choices, smarter with your tactics and smarter with your on-field piloting. Delegating specialised roles among pilots allows people to focus and perform much more efficiently – this is no big secret and has been the lynchpin of any fleet trying to punch above its weight since the beginning. The introduction of Support and tackle fighters, Capital neuts, High Angle Weapons, Long Range Heavy Fighters, Capital Cap Boosters and 3200s has decimated meaningful subcap and cap interplay. It would be so in the past that capital ships were still very effective killing machines – but only when they had adequate and well organised subcapital support for tackling, webbing and neuting. Tackling to stop your targets getting away, webbing to make them trackable, and neuting to shut off enemy tanking modules – and a key vulnerability to being neuted out in the case of 3200s. https://youtu.be/PQCt487lRLc?t=248 With the introduction of all those new abilities, capitals become simply better than subcaps. The way it had been in the past added a new layer of complexity to eve, which, when executed intelligently, made capitals a fantastic force multiplier. The effective gutting of such interplay simply elevated capital ships to the only ships that matter in large scale engagements. They can apply damage by themselves, they can tackle and web by themselves and they can neut by themselves. I am definitely of the opinion that capital and supercapital ships should very well be able to kill subcapitals – I just beleive that they should require intelligent subcapital support to be as effective as they currently are. CCP gave capitals the ability to operate with comparable ease on a plane that is untouchable by subcaps – and in doing so outright removed one of the few areas that smarter pilots could gain an upper hand against larger numbers. | PSA: Be careful when mindlessly installing EVE's launcher as it can wipe your whole drive Posted: 21 Apr 2020 04:08 AM PDT If you're installing the EVE launcher on a different drive than the automatic C:\EVE folder and clicking through the prompts without reading its possible to accidentally wipe whatever drive you're trying to install the game to. If you're trying to install EVE to your E: drive for example without creating and choosing an empty folder for your install you'll be prompted with this warning: https://i.imgur.com/bDvbuoa.png If you're like me (a big dumb idiot) you'll probably just spam through any messages to install as fast as possible. Choosing "Yes" will wipe the entire drive you're installing to. The old EVE launcher used to create a directory folder in whatever drive you chose to install the game into and definitely didn't wipe drives, so for someone installing without paying too much attention this could be an easy mistake to make. scram, web, point effects are initiated at the same time So the module will allow you to disable MWD slow down target for 4 second while at the same time point it for 8 seconds.
The module will be obtainable by a BPC or a drop - from NPC rats in Lowsec and potentially guarantied drop from Lowsec COSMOS sites or in a system with lowsec gate to Stain. TL;DR: Anti kite module that can be obtained only in lowsec that can scram you up to 8 seconds but require cap booster that reloads for 30 seconds. Posted: 21 Apr 2020 04:45 PM PDT Latest patch notes state that they apparently "fixed an issue on character creation in which resizing windows caused drop down menus to be unresponsive, and color pickers to dissappear." I am caldari and specing into those for time being. I have spec'd a lot into the stuff for the Bantam as i generally like the "healing" type role. But i have been working on stuff to fly the Merlin. So i would be open to either option and figured frigates are a cheaper way for me to learn right now. I started playing back in october of last year and I started a corp with a buddy awhile back for our personal stuff and sharing so i dont want to leave that. I lost most of my stuff on my other account during a move then lost interest in the game for a few months. Then thought i would give it a try again so i made a new account to start fresh. So i am playing as alpha for a short while just to make sure its something im going to want to pick back up. One thing for sure never putting anymore money in to the game. I will learn from my mistakes. Never trust anyone ever. I'll keep playing. See how far I go. In summary I want to get a big ship and skills to fly and fit. (Because that's what I want to do) not for pvp or any fights. I like to play solo. I bought plex some and made profit despite stupid tax and trade fees. By doing multi regional trading. I still have over 1100 plex) I neede the money for large skill injectors. So I can skill up fast. To fly and fit the ship(already bought it) That's what I want to do nothing wrong with playing tha game just for trading and making isk. Hate loosing money I made to a scammer. Ps after all the shade i am mad sad and angry! So I am going to spend some cash on eve and get the biggest ship fit it leave it in a hanger for eternity. I'll come and look at it ones in a while. Why. Because that's what the f)&&) I want to do! This game is the worst for new players. I can press / to open some panel, I can open the chat etc. but it's still so overwhelmingly hard to navigate in the game and do stuff, i have a friend who told me to ope the fleet chat, but in my chat there is no fleet channel. What should I do? I'm so exhausted already, tried to watch tutorials and they all have their HUD from the beginning and talk about these stupid beginner missions. Can you help me? [link] [comments] |
