    On why the Proving Grounds colluders should not receive rewards

    As a player of Eve Online since 2014, I've been a part of almost every large bloc you can imagine. I've played for goons, for TEST, for Brave, for PL, for Waffles, Snuffed Out, Shadow Cartel, etc.

    I've also played small-gang and micro-gang often and was exceptionally competent when it came to lowsec interceptor piloting. I've cloaky hunted ratters, blops dropped farmers, played in the alliance tournament.

    So I hope you take my experience with this game into thought when I say that the colluders and people who have actively gamed the system of the Abyssal Proving Grounds should not be rewarded in any way for their behavior.

    This toxic behavior was prevalent in the Alliance Tournament and historically has been proven to be against the spirit of the game. CCP has already proved their point when they banned Kadesh Priestess and others from the AT over the Warlords of the Deep/Camel Empire scandal.

    It's truly disgusting to see players such as uMillenium, Auraus Porcaleus, and Cable Uta use blinged out ships, high-grade implants, and collusion tactics in order to attain the highest position on the leaderboard and for "clout".

    This game mode and proving grounds was supposed to be fun and exciting for players to get instant pvp content on a level playing field for everyone.

    You can even see it in their posts, and the posts of others that these people truly believe they "deserve" the rewards and position at the top because they "worked for it" and "strategized". They already believe they are better than anyone else in the game because they fly blinged out ships in micro-gangs and blob ratters.

    Just my 2 cents. Fuck Cable Uta, fuck Goryn, fuck TEST/etc, and fuck the colluders that have so far ruined a good chance at instanced pvp in this game.

    It all started when TEST reddit user /u/flying_monkies told me to 'grow up'. I decided that maybe I should do some self reflection and see what a true, mature TEST reddit poster looks like.

    So I got past the collusion posts and onto his 2nd page of reddit posting history... when... oh nonononono..... . Image

    So it seems like GoonSwarm decided to stand down for a timer? And he decided to post about 60 different times about it. Spamming the same GoonSwarm line member by clicking on his profile and replying to every single one of his posts on reddit, including his posts on other boards on reddit outside of eve. He's not even spamming Asher or Jay or someone who actually makes the decision to stand down or not... If you have a GoonSwarm flair on reddit, he's going to click on your profile and reply to every one of your posts.

    This isn't even the first time he has done this. This is PAGE 10 of his reddit posting history. It just goes on and on. You could legitmately mistake him for a bot, hell I wish it was a bot, because the fact that a human being can post this level of cringe makes me lose more faith in humanity.

    As you redditors like to say, THATS A YIKES FROM ME DAWG. I think one of us has a lot of growing up to do, I might be biased but I'm going to say that it isn't me.

    Next up we have REDACTED. Unfortunately he didn't learn much from the Navy Seal Copypasta thread, as he forgot the (ingame).

    Bad idea #56 : Split Optimal Range bonuses for LR/SR guns

    Optimal range/missile velocity/missile flight time bonuses are good, like really good. The most popular DPS ships used today all have projection bonuses of some sort. More range gives more damage, because you can use higher damage ammo at the same range, more range gives more application, since a target moving at the same speed has lower angular velocity at longer range, more range gives more survivability, since being farther away forces your opponent to use lower damage ammo to reach you if they can reach at all.

    However, most of these bonuses only really apply when using LR guns, optimal range bonuses on SR guns are still good, but not nearly as dominant as on LR guns. On SR guns, damage/tracking/falloff bonuses are often as good or better than existing optimal range bonuses.

    The proposal is simple, all optimal range/missile flight time/missile velocity hull bonuses and ship skill bonuses are now 60% as effective for LR guns and LR missiles. SR guns and SR missiles are unaffected and retain current bonuses.

    Ex. Cormorants would go from +100% range on hybrid, to +60% for rails, +100% on blasters

    Hurricane would go from +25% optimal on projectile, to +15% on artillery, +25% on autocannon

    Jackdaw sharpshooter would go from +66% velocity for missiles to +~40% on light missiles, and +66% on rockets

    I tried my best to break into the top 100 this weekend, but went to bed a few hours before downtime at rank 89. Woke up this morning to see if I got knocked out or not but the Proving Grounds button just shows an announcement with the date for next event. Is there another spot I'm supposed to check for rankings or did I just get knocked out of top 100 while I slept?
