For those who do not - a newbro teaching corp and hisec pirate corp. Being hisec pirates, WeR4 is doing their usual stuff - wardec small corps, camp trade hubs and routes, hunt corvettes. The usual routine with EVE-Uni was:
Some content and everyone is happy. However... not this time. Lets get some easy kills, they thought. It would be fun, they thought. Lets drop a cheap Raitaru in their system and start killing! Majority of people learn from mistakes of others. Some people need to make their own mistakes. Certain individuals need to make several mistakes to learn. WeR4... well... EVE-Uni hits their structures, including their main HQ in Tar. Here comes the realization of the "oh shit we are f#cked" moment:

| Caring about killboards is a mistake Posted: 25 Aug 2020 09:19 PM PDT Like many others I was really obsessed with developing my killboard After every roam or battle I'd see not just my contribution but how many ships I tagged It felt like a scoreboard It was a big mistake On several characters I have amassed amazing killboards. But it's impossible to navigate them they're so many battles. My dream maybe one day I'll look back and remember a nd view these kills... it was just a dream. Please don't be like I was. Play the game for the thrill of battle, for exploration, for friends. When you stop eve, you don't think about your board So go for that hero tackle. Fight the odds. Gate your fucking carrier. It is a game for having fun. Please don't fall like I did into the trap of thinking the game is to build a sweet Zkill page. It isn't I hope if anyone out there feels like I used to, you will cut this and begin Eve anew, ready to really play and fight and enjoy the game, without the burden of obsessing over a shiny board [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 25 Aug 2020 08:43 PM PDT Tl;dr Black Legion 4.0 returns to the battlegrounds to once again to display grid dominance. Outnumbered, and in enemy territory the small group of BL refugees abandoned by their former esteemed leader Elo Knight engage in a bit of fun comradery and shit over a goon capital operation. The forces that wage war provide ample opportunity to stir up shit and have a bit of good ol' fashion fun. ARR: Anti goon forces poked the beehive with a random moon structure shoot on a Delve border system, while also anchoring a POS nearby. As goons engage in typical blob behavior an ambush was deployed to eliminate goon capitals in their home turf of Delve during the on-going WWB2 conflict. Goon capitals were deftly eviscerated from grid during the initial ambush, while they began scrambling to form a second wave, albeit too slowly to prevent the safe and effective extraction of most of the allied forces. A bit of a fight was had between munin fleets while Rebecca rained fire from above. Goons have been put on notice once again, "Delve is next." I just like small fast and agile ships. How far can I go in the game with this play style? Level two missions get tough when 7 cruisers are in the mission. Reading the subreddit it does seem like eve once again has a proper war, but for those out of the loop you can never be too sure. How genuine is today's war? Haven't either quite understood who the waring parties are, can someone give me a quick rundown of the different sides, and the general state of things? ...
