Miners Mistake a Cyno for a Rock

    Posted: 03 Sep 2020 06:45 PM PDT

    Battle Report

As a coalition that does a lot of mining, we thought it would be nice for once to get some nullsec ore so we went mining there and ended up in RF-X7V where we mistook a cyno for a rock.

We all warped in ready fill up our ore holds but what a surprise when we found out there was no asteroid there, only a Falcon, a Gnosis, a Kikimora and an Arazu on top of a Keepstar.

We started mining the Falcon when the other ships decided they didn't like the tether mechanic and engaged us one after the other, patiently waiting for their turn. Very nice of them !
We even had a lost miner find a rock just for himself, he loved it !

It was a great mining session even if at the end we tried to mine a bunch of angry rocks a bit too big for us and went fast traveling home.

Overall this fleet was tons of fun, would do again without hesitation !
(just a bit sad I couldn't bring back home all the corpses I grabbed)

    Mine safe o7

I'm disappointed r/eve, why is there no-one shitposting about the supercap fight happening for the last 30+ minutes?

    Posted: 03 Sep 2020 09:18 PM PDT

Fight is in G-M4GK, between Goons and 'the good guys'

Supers tackled, capitals getting slaughtered. https://zkillboard.com/related/30004696/202009040400/

I thought both sides had shit posters on standby to hype this shit for the rest of us plebs watching?

Get better shitposters ya damn scrubs.

Edit: I love how this fight went on for nearly an hour before anyone posted about it, then in ~4 minutes after I posted, shitposters from either side are up and fighting to brigade their thread to the top of the sub.

    The Battle For 3-F

    Posted: 03 Sep 2020 05:16 PM PDT

Now before all the Imperium Propaganda starts being chugged out I would like to point out that I find it amazing that a group of roughly 40 people from assorted BRAVE corps such as Mayem, Incredible, BNI and PDE were able to conjure a near 1000 pilot form-up for the 3-F ihub.

This battle of course resulted in an Imperium victory with them forming Baltec, Tengu, Gila, Harpy and Fax toasters. Despite this we managed to contest the ihub for an hour and a half, ninja toasting nodes and forcing them to bring more caps in that would siege and stop us jamming them out. So well done goons, good fights.

It's important to note that the ihub had been reffed 3 times before this by a nightmare fleet again with Fax toast. It is only due to BRAVE's persistence and the skill of the pilots up there that Imperium command decided to commit every pilot they had available.

Remember capsuleers, it is not the blob that formed for over 4hrs with no content that has fun. It's the 40 running around dropping structures picking off stragglers and laughing that the goons are max forming to defend systems a month ago they called home that really comes out on top.

Goons, we cannot wait for round 2.. then 3.. then 4 as you can bet your ass we are not leaving. Until then,

    Fly safe

    Have fun

The Fight for 3-F that wasn't a Fight.

    Posted: 03 Sep 2020 01:04 PM PDT

This is kind of an AAR from a few days ago regarding Goons Toasting 3-f with a fleet form. I saw people enjoyed the Brave structure defense which ultimately was a loss but still valiant so I figured share a Victory the Goons dont seem to keen on sharing themselves. So with that in mind here is a slightly different AAR. (maybe slightly exaggerated like all good stories! Only slightly).

The Fight For the 3-FKCZ I-Hub

Our story begins like any other story, Its a normal day in EVE, Players are mining, Ratting and trading away making their millions and billions of isk. In a far off corner of the galaxy a war rages in a Region known as Querious.

Goonswarm holds the space but a small detachment of Brave Forces have moved in to start harassing. With the region in Turmoil Brave makes a hold in 3-FKCZ taking the system from the Evil Goonswarm threat. Incursions are made and more and more space is taken.

As the Guerrilla style warfare takes its toll on Goonswarm and the Region is Decimated. Their income from this section of space plummets, Entire constellations are left abandoned. This is not to say that they did not fight back as sections of space are traded and fought over relentless from both sides.

We fast forward and unkown amount of time and 3-FKCZ is a bustling place for Brave, Ships are stored in the system and its staged as a stronghold for Brave to Push from. With many attempts to Retake 3-FKCZ from Goonswarm they make a last ditch effort and a fleet is formed during a time when Brave has no numbers available to defend.

Marroc is spending his evening in 3-FKCZ planning fits for ships and chatting on comms when suddenly a huge spike is seen in 3-FKCZ and 100+ Goonswarm jump into an undefended 3-FKCZ. They immediately descent upon the I-Hub and begin the process of Entosis to begin the process of Reclaiming the space from the Brave incusrion.

Brave comms are filled with desperation, No one is available to assist, Brave simply doesnt have the numbers at this time to deal with the fleet of Feroxes with logistic support. With only a handful of Brave players available it seems certain that Goonswarm are going to reinforce the I-hub.

The warning comes in, The alert is triggered and news reaches Our Brave Hero that the I-hub is under attack and the timer has begun to count down towards the first step in losing this critical stronghold.

Marroc decides that enough is enough and puts a secret plan into action, Never before tested but the planning and resources to execute have been in place for a few days in preparation for such a disaster to occur. Will he make it? How does one pilot Overcome such odds, Will the Goonswarm menace prevail? Continue reading to find out!

Marroc Hops into his Blackbird and warps to a tack way off Grid of the I-hub but at such an angle the enemy fleet cannot possible trap the incoming Blackbird with Interdiction Probes. Our hero plans to utilize pre placed coordinates to land at range of the enemy fleet to scout out a potential solution.

With scanners display the enemy fleet warp engines are activated and our hero begins the short journey to potential death. Lands 200km away, On grid with the enemy fleet sensors flare up as an army of Feroxes surround the enemy Entosis ships with an impenetrable wall of Hybrid weapon fire to break through only one solution is possible....

Systems are set to provide maximum Sensor range, The first Entosis ship is locked up with the enemy making progress and only 37 Minutes left our hero springs into action! ECM Jammers are deployed and the first Bifrost has its target lock broken forcing the enemy device to cool down before it can be used again.

Marrocs Onslaught has begun and the Goonswarm menace has never met such a foe, They laugh in local yet to realize this was just the first pass. The Blackbird fitted with no defensive or offensive measures, totally vulnerable to the enemy fleet aligns as the enemy tackle begins to burn towards the craft to capture and kill, The Blackbird enters warp as the enemy get in range but it isn't going far... It lands just 250km on the otherside of the objective.

This time the confidence is building, Multiple enemy entosis ships are locked up and jams are applied at distances of over 230km from the cheap tech 1 cruiser vessel. The second blow is struck, Goonswarm are not actively cycling on the I-hub and the display reads "Brave Making Progress 8 minutes".

Our hero bounces again and again and again... A relentless onslaught that goonswarm have never known from a single pilot. Each time a Warp is completed a new cycle of jams are applied, Goonswarm take drastic action and bring in more Entosis ships, This time with 4 tech 2 Bifrosts surely they can keep one cycling whilst others cool down.

Unfortunately our hero has other plans and the relentless abuse to the enemy sensors continues, 20-30 Minutes goes by and the I-Hub Displays show no progress is being made by Goonswarm, infact they havent even managed to trigger the warning after it was reset earlier...

The entosis ships begin to decycle, and one by one warp off and leave system, Followed swiftly by the entire 100+ Ferox fleet, Goonswarm retreat, Heads hung low, weapons cold and egos bruised. Our hero, Marroc, remains in his trusty under appreciated ship with the system secured for another 20 hours he revels in his victory.

Word does not seem to spread of our heros accomplishments further then the Querious invasion groups of Brave, Goonswarm hush any rumors of it, However it is time for the truth to be known, You know the truth... The truth is the power lies in your hands, no matter the ship, the pilot or the player you have the power to influence change... What will you do with it?

The war is long but you can make a difference in pushing back the Goonswarm plague and free the Querious region of their tyrannical grip.

    BATTLE REPORT SERIES

    Hello Everyone.

I present you my new youtube project with name " Battle Report Series"

We gonna take our bad editing skills and the latest encounters from the "Late Night Fights" live streaming sessions, strap em all together and release weekly videos with commentary on small Gang PvP encounters.

Feel free to let me know if you like the project or hate it.

Feedback and negative comments would be apreciated a lot also.

In the specific video the Sentinel i am flying is sub optimal fitted. I was to concerned for my cap life i over did it by fitting an extra small cap booster. Later on the roam i dropped it for another tracking disruptor mid module.

Damn those event are becoming really weird dude...

    Posted: 03 Sep 2020 01:00 PM PDT

Arena events the new best PVE in the game.

    Posted: 03 Sep 2020 12:26 PM PDT

So we finally concluded the 5v5 Corvette event.

To make this semi short I can say it was the most hilarious PVE event I've ever experienced, and to understand that statement let me give you a little back story.

After the first day of the event had concluded, it was clear that trying to actually get matches outside of EU Prime would be unlikely leaning towards down right impossible with queue times being upwards of 2-3 hrs.

2 guys that shall remain unnamed (suitonia & Umilenium) and I decided that it would be a fun project to see how many wins we could get before the end of the event. So we all gathered 1-2 characters each for our "main" team and then we each got a feeder team of 5 characters to be used as suiciding dummies to provide our mains with automatic wins. After a short few hours of grinding we realized 2 things.

    1. We could push almost as many characters as we wanted into the top 100 as we wanted.

    2. We could make stupid profits from this event

We realized that as we were cycling 2 matches at a time we always had one feeder team having to win which ment we could push a feeder team onto to leaderboard by intentionally losing matches to it similarly to what we were doing with our mains.

This whole hilarity lead to us having somewhere between 50 and 60 characters on the top 100 leaderboard by the end of the event, and getting hilarious redeem queues like this https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/622776172526305310/751151490542076085/unknown.png

    And this https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/479325957837160451/751145297958404116/corvette480p.mp4

The total accounts from myself getting on top 100 was. 5 accounts getting 3x prizes 2 accounts getting 2x prizes 4 accounts getting 1x prizes

totalling me at 23 characters getting a top 100 prize.

So regarding profitability, one win inside the arenas nets you a guaranteed profit of at least 25m with chance of 50m being decent, and up to 7-8b being possible (assuming you get a suit). This means as we were pushing our mains towards higher win rates we were making 50m (2 matches per cycle) every 3 minutes, which gets us to minimum 1 billion an hour. This is of course split between 3 people making it 333m per person which is still a rather large amount for the cost of the ships used (0 cause there were noobships).

This profitability also does not consider the profits from having the characters in the top 100 which provided a 100m prize along with 250k sp.

The total profitability for myself can then be calculated to 4b raw grinding wins. and approximately 11b profit in form on bonus SP.

This along with all the salt from the community which is priceless I'd argue it was very lucrative :)

    Thank you for your time.

    TL:DR

We used alot of alts to get alot of chars to top 100 and made a bit of isk and ALOT of salt.

    Posted: 03 Sep 2020 04:21 PM PDT

First off, I'm a complete noob and avoid low/null for the very reason of I dont know what the fuck I'm doing. So, I login. I think i got DCed at a gate in Niarja, and decided to not login until CCP fixed the DC issues again. It's been a while since i logged in basically.

I then proceed to be locked by some random, okay, just jump through the gate. Nope, dead in...about 5 ish seconds, give or take my lag coz you gotta love shitty internet. Remind me about Niarja...goddamn. Now I'm poor because I had most of my stuff in that Kestrel. Ah well, guess I gotta teach myself exploration...

    Counterplay to kiting meta?

    Posted: 03 Sep 2020 03:05 PM PDT

What is it, because I'm not really seeing it. Should you just not engage, try to aggress from a distance with drones (which is hard because these kiting ships go 4000+) or use sniping ships? Is there a way to engage a kiting ship 1v1? Thx in advance.
