I've been playing for around two months, and have gotten more than my fair share of ships blown up. I was flying a kiting executioner, the total fitting cost was around 2m. Got into a fight with another exec who was even more of a noob than me in a novice plex.

I mean I proceeded to get killed by gate campers but I GOT MY FIRST KILL

I love this game, it's so vast and beautiful, IV tried doing a bit of mining and some security missions, iv created an adventure ship and done some data and relic sites. But I just don't know what I should stick to and do? How do I make a decent amount of ISK, I feel like I keep screwing up ship builds, I have no idea how to build properly or what I'm really doing? Any tips for a new player on how to properly get started would be awesome! I do have a good alliance who help me out but like I bombard them with questions, and I don't really get an answer to this whole question.

The Big Ole Friday Night WH Fights - an AAR

    Posted: 13 Feb 2021 08:16 AM PST

I might be shooting myself in the foot here...

Hello everyone, I'm Mark. I'm the TURBOFEED OR GLORY CEO, and I have some time this morning so I'm going to tell you about a weird fucking thing that happened last night, but I have to split it up into a couple of parts. Let's start with:

BACKGROUND: So Wednesday night, TURBO gets a call from our friends in LUPUS (RE-HO+OMGGF) that they've found a low-power forti and that Re-Ho had reffed it earlier in the day. Apparently the timer was trash for Germany (it was) so the Germans had bounced and left it to their friends to finish off, since there was only one timer left. It was cored, probably some cap stuff in there, easy peasy. Gotta fuel your forts.

So Almost Dangerous calls us and asks for some numbers help during USTZ since they were a little thin. They had some triangle stuff, we came in meme scorpions and zarmz - you know, for memes. We figured we'd see like, max 20 dudes defending this forti, so that's what we prepped for.

Anyway, the night we move in I get a ping from one of the defenders who asked me not to evict these dudes, because they're real nice and etc etc etc. I told them that we weren't evicting them (we weren't), we were just hitting a low power forti because you gotta fuel your forts. I also told them that we weren't really in charge, go talk to LUPUS, etc. As far as I know that conversation never happened, but that's sort of where we were at about it.

We purposefully did very soft hole control over the next few days, partially because we were worried we'd have too many dudes in our fleet (which was at that time about 30 people) and wanted to see if the defenders would fight (spoiler alert: yes). So we weren't really too surprised when we got off work on Friday and saw that the defenders had batphoned Foxholers, Protean Concept, Ronin ONE, The Inf3cted, and Wormpilled - among others. At this point we started looking at what they had vs what we had and realized we might be about to get blobbed, so to try and even it out we called up our other friends in SYNDE. The defenders were sitting on the C3 static, but didn't seem to have noticed the C5 elsewhere in the system (later confirmed that they just didn't know it was there until it was too late), so the SYNDEbois came up that way.

So as we're sitting on the C5, some people coming up the chain start talking about a growing Krypted Gaming fleet amassing midway through. We still have a bunch of people who need to get in down near Jita, including a handful of reinforcements from Prismatic Legion, so we pull off some dudes from the main fleet to meet them down the chain and help them get past the KG fleet.

With that all said, here begins:

    https://br.evetools.org/related/31002502/202102130300

Fight #1: The combined SYNDE/BNYSE/TURBO fleet led by XVXTeacherVXV coming up from Jita meets KG about two jumps from the target hole. As they engage, myself and the OMGGF FC dschreiner along with some logi and Koneko Breau's scorpion start burning down the chain to intercept and help pull that fleet off. As we were doing this, elsewhere was beginning:

Fight #2: The TURBO/OMGGF/SYNDE main fleet is engaged on the C5 by the full defenders fleet. With half our logi down chain and some questionably fit scorpions on grid from the good people at TURBOFEED OR GLORY, this fight is a mess. Chris En Distelle immediately pulls the fleet off back to the POS, but the numbers here are not super. Meanwhile:

Fight #1 again: This fight seems to be going well at first, but midway through the Wormhole Society batphone shows up for Krypted and lands on our shit. With drek dps bleeding and Cyrus Kurush telling dan to shit or get off the toilet, we disengage and scamper back to join the main fleet.

As the contingent coming up the chain is preparing to land back on the target hole, the main fleet realigns and warps to meet us. This begins:

    https://br.evetools.org/br/6027f25706fbf5001b4a22d6

Fight #3: The aggressors (OMGGF/TURBO/SYNDE/PRISM) are met by the combined defenders battleship blob, as well as the KG + WHSOC Sac fleet coming up from behind. No two ways about it - this fight does not go well. That's definitely to be expected - it was 79 v 39. Sometimes it do be like that.

Anyway, we go into full retreat at this point, just trying to get logi off grid. As we land back in our POS, we get word that Hard Knocks has reached out to Almost Dangerous and offered to come join in the revelry. What we didn't know at this point that HK definitely knew about was that there was a huge EXIT/HOSA/QUINNT drekavac fleet trying to get in to that hole at the time, and the clock was now ticking before the supreme mega blob arrived to wrap things up. We take the remnants of our fleet (which had, I think about 3 dps ships left in it at this point) over to the C5 to engage a small group of defenders sitting on top of a crit hole, while our guys scanned out the C3 for a new LS entrance for HK.

    https://br.evetools.org/br/6027f57306fbf5001b4a22da

Fight #4: The small defender fleet on the C5 is reinforced by the remaining defenders docked up at the forti, with KG and WHSOC having fulfilled their duties of shooting SYNDE and then making a quick egress. The beginning of this fight took a while, as our logi held and we slowly began whittling through defender battleships. After a while, the defenders warped back to the fortizar, and we gave chase.

Landing on the forti grid, some of the defenders had docked, while a few were still untethered with timers. We cleared what we could, but we were still at a fairly considerable numbers disadvantage at this point, especially considering we were sitting on a forti grid and half the fleet were zarms. But HK was en route, so all we had to do was buy some time and then they'd even the numbers slightly.

After a lot of back and forth, with our fleet picking off untethered battleships and legitimately more command dessies than I can count, HK landed on grid and the rest of the fight was a wipe. The HK legions cleared basically whatever else was left, while whatever was left of our fleet started spooling on the fort, which had now begun repairing.

As we're thanking everyone for staying around and cleaning up, a new sig pops and this exchange takes place.

    https://br.evetools.org/br/6027f83d06fbf5001b4a22de

Fight #5: HOSA and EXIT, after rage rolling for only god knows how long, finally get an entrance and drop a ludicrous amount of drekavacs and zarms on our spot. What commenced was a clusterfuck of booshes, the occasional break, hero logi, and attempts to keep the forti timer paused. Halfway through the residents figured out they could turn the PDS on to hit the drones that were pausing the fort, which only served to make the situation more dire.

While we had guys burning back up chain in small shit to help with tackle and booshers, the numbers just were not advantageous to success. After a final boosher put the HK legions out of range of the forti, and the timer ticked down to zero, the fight was over. We extracted everything we could from the maw of the drek blob while EXIT and HOSA tethered up, and then immediately began the retreat back to Amarr.

In Conclusion: I actually don't feel as bad about this one this morning as I thought I might. The main fleet of TURBO/OMGGF/SYNDE/PRISM fought outnumbered basically the entire night, and the few exceptions to that were essentially sweeps. HK absolutely saved that last fight from being the eve equivalent of killing a fly with an H-bomb, but in the end we were just spent of resources and members and it was like 2am and it was what it was.

GF to everyone who attended. TURBO is recruiting.

tl;dr: you gotta fuel your forts.

Frat vs The Freemen of the North - Week 6

    Posted: 13 Feb 2021 11:17 AM PST

Nous ne sommes pas piégés ici avec vous, vous êtes piégés ici avec nous.

    Week 6

With the loss of M-OEE8 and J-GAMP Ihubs in week 5, Rote steeled itself for the oncoming armor timers for those system's respective Fortizars. We began initial preparations early in the day, working to scan down wormhole chains for both a Goon and RC fleet to make their way north. Frat and pets would show up with around 250 in their combined Munnin and Nightmare fleets, with Freemen having ~100. Goons would show with 30-40 bombers with the intent to hit entosis FAX in the event they are used and RC were in Jan in a complementary Cerberus fleet to the Freeman primary fleet.

And this is where things go sideways. Ultimately I took the Cerb fleet thru the gate, expecting the ability to clear the distance before the Munnins would make their way appreciably on grid. Ultimately this didn't work out, and we bled Cerbs hard. Anchors were webbed relatively quickly when we swapped and ultimately things got a bit spaghetti. In the middle of this, and leading up to it, my contact with RC was peppering me with questions. Looking back thru the chat log, I don't attribute the questions to him or the decision to not go in, since he was the middle man, but the tone and path they were leading down "what if we get stuck in J-GAMP?" being a primary one, shows that the FC of the RC fleet was concerned with only one thing, and that's his killboard.

Now, I have tried to keep emotion clear of these war reports, and let the monkeys in the comment section do their thing, but I'm about to fling some shit because cowards deserve it. Rayberti, of Freight Train Diplomacy, was the FC for RC that day. They were in Jan, on our Titan, ready to bridge and called it off. We were disappointed when BOOM bounced at the first sign of danger back in January. But this? Absolutely deplorable after the amount of work and risk we put in to set it up.

Would they have turned the tide? Probably not, 250 nerds is still a decent number to overcome. Would it have been a much closer shot at pulling out some kills, yes, absolutely.

Anyway, once we got news that BOOM failed us once again, we decided to dock the fleet and let the timers roll.

Though other than this drama the week has been relatively quiet. A large part of our time was spent securing assets in lowsec and continuing the blops campaign. We'd see more minor skirmishes where Frat pets needed to be bailed out or TP and Quote styling on Frat while outnumbered. And because they'll chimp out about it, I'll cover the Fort Hull timers.

So, both Forts were coming out early Friday Eve Time, so while technically Week 7, I'll cover them now because they are not only fresh, but funny and sad at the same time. The numbers will be in Week 7's report, naturally, but let's keep the narrative here smooth:

So Murray, the smoothest brain of the Rote FC corps wanted to say, fuckit, and go out with a bang on the fort timers. Naturally he settled on a Worm fleet to play to the oversized AB memes and see what we could do. All in all, it was a riot, though my links stork ate shit, so I was Worming it up on the alt for the fight.

Here's the BR. So minus the 15b of the Fort killmail, the Worms did surprisingly ok. They chewed thru the Scimitars in short order, and if the Cerbs hadn't uncharacteristically been RLML vs HML it would have been a much more different story. The fort would ultimately die, RIP. And we'd chase the Frat fleet into Lowsec and take gate gun aggro because we don't have any wrinkles in our brains. God bless Murray. For the J-GAMP fort we would contest with a small Sacrilege fleet against their Cerbs. Frat pets would arrive in a complementary Cerb fleet in what seemed to be the world's worst logoff trap, and we'd bounce against the 1:3 odds.

But wait, there's more. As already mentioned in another meme post, we had a Titan log in at <10% structure left on the Fortizar, burned out his neurons, and just died instead of doing literally anything. So, I'll give them that kill, would be dishonest not to. But, good riddance to essentially what was a hangar queen/status symbol and more ship than the pilot was capable of. Also, that number is on Week 7, just to see people fail at math and get mad at me.

    The Scorecard

    Week 6 - 5-11 Feb 2021

Current Hubris Tax Level for Frat V Rote Kapelle: 2726%, for TP: 1708%

    Current tallies are:

    Team Frat Freemen
Isk Lost 869b* (Titan not summed) 386b
    Ships Lost 5047 3231
    Titan 1*
    Supers 1
    Dreads 23 8
    Fax 7 4
    Carrier 11 3
    JFs 3
    Rorqs 3
    Orcas 2
    Forts 3 1
    Astrahus 1
    Azbel 2
    Athanor 1 1
    Ansiblex 10 3
    Tenebrex 4 2
    Battleships 162 56
    BLOPs 2
    HACs 175 125
    Botters 567

    *Snuff got the Titan, ~73b

And some graphs to go along with it:

    Rote V Frat

    TP V Frat

As previously relayed, these numbers do not capture the entirety of the forces involved in this fight. This would be entirely unfair to Frat and their Pets to point out that we're doing roughly 300B in damage a week, and nearing in on 2T total. There are no signs of this activity slowing down as Frat continues to move more soft skulled botters and industrialists into the area.

And as a disclaimer, I'm sure I'm missed some fights here and there. The skirmishes haven't stopped but a large portion of our week was spent securing assets to Lowsec. TP had a good fight in the early parts of Week 7 that I'll cover next weekend.

If you have any further questions for us feel free to hit us up here or on Discord as usual.

    Red Alliance Disband

    Posted: 13 Feb 2021 06:58 AM PST

    Manifest In russian

    Quoted from

    Tsedd

Raw google translate for the lazy:

We go to the road on the road to our shared history. This text was written to celebrate the cult of personality and without a "famous person", but to simply state the facts of their preservation in the history of the community.

"He knew sixty-three ways of making money, of which the most honest, the most common, was stealthy theft." -Francois Rabelais

Brief content - even a gifted vorikidala. Once again he scrolled the alliance, cut down the balls and achieved his personal goals.

A few months ago, there was a governance crisis at RED. Zapp, due to real-life and health problems, and therefore no longer able to manage the Alliance, made the final decision to leave. To our great regret ... the Alliance came under the control of Dodger. It never happened, and here it is again! Hopes for life experience and wisdom were not justified, but the scale of what happened exceeded all expectations. What the Dodger Decent Manager was aware of was doubts about his penchant for honest work and his ability to hold out this time around. Satisfied with a scheme in which claims are on a certain corporation under the control of a person whose honesty and loyalty to the alliance is beyond doubt (Https://soundcloud.com/ker-egivand/6666a).

Next is just the facts. Right here (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1aaD-6VyHXyzRwCCqkEBG5fChd-wLcjvMZ22Uo4fifsk/edit?usp=sharing) you may notice a link to questionable transactions Dodger. Each director's meeting asked the question: where are the claims, Zina Dodger? The answer was only lengthy answers like "I'll return someday". Further - more. "Back in structures."

The decision of the bloated "Tsar" is undoubtedly higher than the requests and decisions of the "Chelyad" - the Consil stopped talking and took away his access and lawsuits in the hope of sobering up. Niktone was going to kick Dodger, and even more so - no one was going to put a stick in the wheel of any activity of this person (as it turned out, in vain). How did the standard loyalty turn out for the members?

By the decision of the Senate, Dodger still has access to the Red Concil (Executor) and the REDLogistics Union. Early in the morning Moscow time, Dodger, with the help of his dir char in Consil, kicks most of the corporations that have expressed the slightest disagreement with him from the Alliance. After that, removes the holder from the Alliance, thereby displacing the current holder. The remaining corporations loyal to the Dodger vote for a new executor - guess who? Dodger now has an alliance button.

Alliance strongholds are being pre-transferred from the RED infrastructure corporation to the personal .FIN. The reliability of this information has been confirmed by the directors of the former RED ALLIANCE corporations:

Look at all these dank Brave Leaks!

Legacy is just a bunch of pubbies (pick up guilds)

Severance is going to lose all of their space.

Test backstabbed us before Siberian Squads backstabbed them, so it's fair.

Dunk Dinkle said everything is fucked, everything's on fire, we have to death march to Querious now.

    Brave can't defend their iHubs.

    Dunk Dinkle is a liar.

    Look at the cute kitten.

We know you are but what am I?

Red drama isn't like your drama. Only yours is the bad kind.

    Please defect to us. Please?

Your leaders have abandoned you and your titan in M2. We're done with the ticket schtick though.

    Goons are historically trustworthy.

Oh and by the way we're losing some more structures and can't defend our iHubs either in that region we won't talk about, but have you seen the Deep Water Hooligans???

How to view sellers further away

    Posted: 13 Feb 2021 10:09 PM PST

I have been reading the wiki but i cant figure out what skill this is

I have moved 2 jumps away from Jita and things appear more expensive because i can no longer see the items for sale at Jita or Tranquility Trading Tower

(Im not asking about sell or buy orders I mean when you directly buy from an available existing listing eg "sellers")

Looking at skills i think this may be either "procurement" or "visibility" but both these skills have the wording "buy orders" in the description which i find a bit confusing (i dont want to setup buy orders i want to remotely see sellers prices so i don't over pay for items)

TLDR: I want to be able to see the prices of items at Jita when im several systems away, which skill is that if its possible?

    Hi CCP!

So when are you actually going to dedicate some time to something people have asked for YEARS rather that keep doing the same shit as always, fixing something that DO NOT need fixing?

Maybe its time to give us the means to upload our own logs that represent us the way we would like to be represented.

I mean 18 years and corp icons still look like the picture attached?

Don't you think we have waited long enough for it?
