Small Alliance dealing with Brave Posted: 14 Feb 2021 08:08 PM PST I'm Sorry in Advance and I would kindly thanks all of you to keep this post respectful, polite and positive. If I cause salt, I'm SORRY. So here we go : On the 8th of January I talk to a guy, Algorthan. He introduces himself has one of the leaders of Brave Collective. To which I said that I was (and still am) SORRY. I also tell him that I represent a small Alliance that really appreciated Nullsec mechanics and bla bla bla… At some point I ask him if he's influent enough to grant us a non-invasion pack. To which he answers that not only he can but that he actually gives it to us and that if anyone in Brave goes against his Will that he is gonna yell louder to make them hold this agreement, because that's the Classy thing to do. I'm paraphrasing here, but you get the point. Then I pause and ask : "ok, so your're telling me that on the 8th of February 2021 at 21:05 my time, Brave is agreeing in a non-invasion pack on Sorry in Advance claims?" Then 2 days goes by and we got an opportunity to capture systems. So we capture them. On valentine's day we got Brave and -7- that contested our iHub: https://dscan.info/v/d06ef5b26618 https://dscan.info/v/756af2b69d9c Get my surprise: Someone from a big bloc assure me that my stuff is not going to be attacked by them, it would not be Classy. Then less than a week later, they are the one reinforcing it? Not that I'm salty, but there must be a good reason to go after an emerging alliance as ours. So I get in touch with him again : I don't want to generalise, but as a small alliance leader and as an Eve player, trust is something of great value. I'm Sorry in Advance Respectfully [link] [comments] |

Posted: 14 Feb 2021 02:37 PM PST The below ideas are harsh and aren't for the faint of heart. I expect to be voted down into oblivion but its time to make it bad to be a botter not just bots bad for the game. Step 1: Make a isk fee to transfer structures. That's right, we a stupid 10k isk fee just like with contracts but for transferring structures. Why you might ask? Simple its time negwalleting actually means something. At this point everyone has heard about frat being negwalleted and just transferring all the structures to a new holding corp but its time for that to end. This is one of the easiest fixes in the game and yet somehow it hasn't been added yet. Step 2: If a bot get caught, whatever ADMs that has been raised by said bot get subtracted from the adm of each system it ratted in. If the ADMs falls below 0, the ihub explodes. Doesn't matter if they are in the alliance, doesn't matter about anything, if a bot ratted in that system and raised the ADMs then gets caught, the ADMs get subtracted with a chance of the IHUB exploding (if the ADM falls below 0). Now I can already hear people says "that's not fair to everyone else in the alliance" and your right it isn't but it shouldn't be. I'm not saying its only the players job to stop botting but neither is it okay for alliances to turn a blind eye. Now if they turn that blind eye they get punished for it. Whatever taxes were taken from the bot gets negwalleted, all the accounts assets destroyed and IHUBs explode. Its time botting wasn't just oh darn got caught time to inject a new one but rather something that just isn't worth it at all. Now comes the perspective of the big bloc. How can I make sure I don't have bots? After all I can't be expected to know everyone right? Actually why don't you take a moment to get to know your members. You know Tom who always has his 15 Ishtars out ratting for 16 hours a day but is never on comms and never talks to anyone. Maybe he isn't the guy you want in your alliance. But your right when you have a massive group its always possible for those bad apples to slip through. If only this game allowed us to divide up into smaller groups, a core group you know and trust, a group that can hold sov just for themselves and not have to worry about losing it to botters. Of course this small group has friends in case of times of need, mutual defensive pacts and the like but they don't let just anyone use their sov day to day. They skirmish and work to defend their little island to keep it safe just in case. Now this only addresses null sec anom botting so I would love to hear ideas for highsec or mining bots. TDLR; Bots Bad. Set minor isk fee on structures to make negwallet mean something. Make botting subtract from ADM and blow IHUB if under 0%. [link] [comments] |

FRT muninn fleet gets dumpstered by Baguette Pipebomb Squad Posted: 14 Feb 2021 09:39 AM PST AAR : Caladrius came to D7 with a small frig fleet, a few of our dudes were skirmishing with them when a FRT caracal fleet came and joined the fun. After losing a few ships a ping goes out to reship to talos but after following the caracal fleet for a few jumps, one cyno opens and a FRT muninn fleet jump on top of our dudes, crushing the talos fleet within seconds. Our scouts mention a blue naglfar tackled (which we would have known about if we read channels but let's not talk about that!), the muninn fleet rushes there and engages the naglfar while our 200IQ FC (the one and only Pytorion BE, praise be unto him <3 ) decides to reship to his mighty secret comp, the elite SB tempest. After killing the blue nagl, the muninn fleet starts to burn home while our dudes set up the trap a bit further on FRT way. FRT fleet jump in system and align the next gate, our sabre pilots decloak and opens a bubble while our cyno gets ready to light once the FRT fleet initiates warp. FRT fleet warp to the next gate and land on the edge of the bubble, kill notifications begins to appear on everyone's screen, hilarity ensues ! Posted: 14 Feb 2021 11:35 AM PST Papi is surprisingly changing their strategy of their breakout attempts from successful strategic operations to who has the less single players on Valentines days only to abort and extract back to T5ZI after they saw we have enough to keep the pigeon going. ;) Happy Valentine's day to all of us either way! 240bn CONDI Sotiyo destroyed uncontested Posted: 14 Feb 2021 01:39 PM PST https://zkillboard.com/kill/90738002/ At 21:00 EVE PAPI formed to bash two structure timers in 23G-XC, not long after the impressive Imperium formup in M2-XFE that successfully drove off PAPI from the grid containing a large number of its safe-logged supercapitals. The large butcher's bill is largely due to the fitting of a T2 XL rig - a Standup XL-Set Equipment and Consumable Manufacturing Efficiency II - though the Sotyio also dropped slightly more than a supercarriers worth of capital parts and miscellaneous subcapital modules - presumably abandoned by the job submitter. A cyno jammer was not online in the system. PAPI went on to additionally destroy a Fortizar in the system - also uncontested and ungunned. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 14 Feb 2021 08:03 PM PST I just found a new region, the region PR-01 does not appear on the map and can be viewed through a map browser. Similar to Abyssal Deadspace's ADR01~5 region, but no record of it was found on Zkillboard. [link] [comments] |

Imperium are dying, low morale, helms deep something something... Posted: 14 Feb 2021 12:05 PM PST After spending much of the past week writing reddit posts claiming that Imperium are dying because helms deep, low morale, something something, Papi attempted their first serious breakout attempt of M2- in quite some time today convinced they could quickly get the upper hand. Following a CTA to bash structures, Papi flash formed carriers and diverted their four fleets into M2- to shoot the upper bubbles above the keepstar. Alerted to their presence by the still-going-strong 24/7 M2 hellcamp, Imperium pinged 'start logging in, hostiles in M2-', at which point 1500 angry goons rage logged into 1DQ causing 90% tidi. A couple more pings, and Imperium has assembled over 1000 supercapitals/capitals within 90 seconds plus several full subcap fleets. The first of the full Imperium capital fleets (supers) jumped into M2- and immediately engaged the hostile fighters in the upper bubble group with SS fighters, while the first full subcap fleet (Rohks) cyno'd in and also engaged. At this point, realising Imperium had formed twice their committed numbers in about 90 seconds, Papi saw the writing on the wall and immediately recalled their fighters and disengaged. Another breakout attempt was successfully thwarted, and 131 titans remain trapped. I'm sure the experience has given Papi the validation they were seeking in their belief that the Imperium are dying, have low morale, helms deep something something. GG. [link] [comments] |

From Ravworks with Love! (New Industry Tool) Posted: 14 Feb 2021 08:33 AM PST o/ Fellow engineers of destruction! As today is Valentine's day, I'd like to give a lovely present to the EVE community! Over the last year or so I've been building a new webtool to automate most of the spreadsheeting work done in manufacturing. Check out the website: https://ravworks.com/ How it works:
Happy manufacturing and fly dangerous! o7 Rav [link] [comments] |

Counters and Synergies chart?? Maybe subcaps only or something. Posted: 14 Feb 2021 09:08 PM PST I know a lot of these will be obvious but when I was playing in tournaments for OW we had these sheets that someone in the community would make and update. I'm just curious if anyone has or would be willing to create such a list for EVE. I understand that it would be a big undertaking but it would definitely help new players and even new FCs. Starting would be PVP oriented but if you'd like to include mission running ships that would be great. I unfortunately don't know enough about all the individual ships and weaknesses to attempt something like this. Pic attached is one we were given so long ago its outdated so I felt I could post it as an example.(Example of what we used in comments). If anyone does this in spreadsheet form even that would be amazing!! Thanks!!! [link] [comments] |

What’s the solo content like? Can you even play this game solo? Posted: 14 Feb 2021 02:43 PM PST Hey all, what's the state of solo play in this game? I get that this is an mmo and I'm not saying I want to always play solo. I just enjoy exploring and doing my own thing from time to time. And with a busy real life it's hard to commit to corp/guild stuff. I currently play Albion Online and the solo side of that game is lacking. Heading out into full loot areas alone is just not fun. There's no reason to explore and people only travel in groups. So going alone is just an exercise in losing gear. I made an EVE account a few years ago and did the intro campaign, seemed like there were missions/quests. Or is that just intro? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 15 Feb 2021 01:07 AM PST I can finally tell if it's a 0 or a 8, and it's just IMO much more readable now. No idea what you did, I just remember it was horrible 1-2weeks ago. the red/green numbers were smaller than the other font and saying if it was -0.5% or -8.5% was very difficult. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 14 Feb 2021 05:35 AM PST AAR: Just after downtime fleet was pinged because theimperium(no space) were trying to drop an ihub in helm's shallow(space they don't care about). The papi combined fleet jumped on them to find they had deployed an ihub and now were toasting it. A drake massacre happened. Their fleet jumped on top of us, we duked it out eventually papi pinged caps and dropped them as well but the battle was pretty much over by then. The ihub was stolen by test. Thank you theimperium(no space) for the incompetence you show on a regular basis. One more system bites the dust in helm's shallow. [link] [comments] |
