    Announcing Eve Vegas 2020

    Hello, fellow EVE nerds!

    In August this year, CCP announced that the 2019 Invasion World Tour has opened their eyes to the opportunities of new locations. They get to meet more players, more new faces, and of course visit new locations on the company dime! As a result, CCP's big American player meetup will be going on the road, moving to San Diego in 2020 and then to other locations in following years.

    While this is fantastic news for CCP and the wider Eve playerbase, Eve Vegas has more than a decade of history within our community, and many players' instinctive reaction was that 2019 cannot be our last Eve Vegas. It was a player-run gathering long before CCP brought their flair to Sin City, and after so many years, Vegas is a staple of the meetup calendar; surely, someone will step up and return it to player hands?

    Today, we are here to announce that EVE Vegas 2020 is absolutely in the works. Right now, we have an incredible cross-community committee made up of veteran EVE event volunteers including chief volunteer-herder Greygal and the absolutely brilliant StreamFleet team. We're also working with community stalwarts RixxJavix and The Judge, as well as the stellar GoonVegas dinner crew. All told, there are many collective years of organisational experience coming together to make 2020 the best player-run Eve Vegas yet, and we hope you're all as excited as we are!

    However, to achieve the best player-run Eve Vegas so far, we will need you - our wonderful community - to help out by telling us what you want to see. How many of you will come to Vegas 2020? Which aspects of Vegas have you loved in the past few years, and which have you disliked? Should we run presentations, and if so, what topics should we try to focus on? Right now, we'd appreciate your responses to this really quick questionnaire. We want this to be a Vegas gathering defined by you, the players, so we'll be coming to you for answers to this and more in the coming months.

    We would also love to collaborate with players and alliances across the game to ensure that we are delivering what the players want to see. So, if you have put together dinners, pub crawls, or anything else community-focused in the past few years, we would love to hear from you and learn from your experiences.

    In the meantime, stay tuned to posts from EveVegas2020 here on reddit and @EveVegas20201 (yes, that URL is correct) on twitter for further updates, and be sure to get involved by responding, retweeting, and sharing the plans to as many nerds as you can!

    P.S. We are constrained by the laws of physics and the laws of economics, so there are some things we simply cannot do. Please do not hold it against us if your idea to do zero-G flights etc. does not make it into the official schedule. :)

    I wake up, last night there was an roaming in my corp but i didn't go, i'm too good for them and i participated in high risk lowsec PVP. I'm in The Citadel, Tama to be exact, and what's that?! A 50 day old character in a T1 Frig?! My hands are shaking, i haven't been this excited since i "Mechanically outplayed" some Freighters in Niarja while i was skilling up Biology V and traveling to Lowsec. I don't know what to do his ship is only 149.99b ISK cheaper than my Chremoas, how am i ever going to win this duel. I consume my drugs, the Merlin still isn't responding, he must be frozen in fear over my boldness to engage in this fight. Ooh i got a wrecking hit, i loudly screech OwO in real life and almost orgasm at my skill. I overheat to finish him off and establish my dominance and power over him. One volley proves to be enough, and both he and his pod die. I'm still shaking, thinking to myself: "I won, i did it, i'm the best pvp-er on this server". Then i see he still hasn't send me whine-mail and i start flapping my hands the keyboard trying to open a convo. I manage to hit enter, i still have time. I quickly start hitting my left side of the keyboard, till i finally manage to find the ctrl and V keys, which couldn't be recognised, worn out from usage and covered in cheeto dust. I drop the copy pasta a c ‚ c ÇÈ ‚ f 30, again proving my superiority over this lower human being. I cloak up my AT Frigate, having cycled clones to avoid booster penalties, "mechanically outplaying" all newbie players in T1 frigs on the way there of course, and think to myself "I am so good at PVP".

    Noob lore question: Why is CONCORD so unbeatable from a fiction standpoint?

    What keeps war from being declared on them? Why can seemingly no force stand a chance? And how did they become so widely and strongly established in New Eden? Does it have to do with differences in technology?

    Is the game worth playing without Omega?

    I played it a for a couple of days until I realised that the thing I love the most (trading) is blocked behind a paywall. I know you can get Omega without paying but the time needed to do so is way too high.

    So, in what way can I enjoy the game without paying? Thanks.

    Cheap fit to kill ratters/botters in NS

    Hi there,

    I would like to get a cheap fit to hunt gilas, ishtars, VNIs, myrmidons and even dominixies in NS. By cheap I mean less than 100M, if it is a thing.

    Which hull should do the trick ? Gnosis ?

    Is a cloak mandatory ? Is combat probes mandatory ?

    Lets be nice to that poor item database sitting on that RAMSAN and give us the option CCP of merging the same BPC item/research levels together. If I have 110 (5 run 10/10) bpc's then let me select them and chose a merge into single BPC option so I can have a single BPC with all the runs combined. I need cans and cans to store these things and run into that 985 item limit all the time. Its getting so bad that now my cans are approaching the item limit.

    Triglavian ship shield regen

    Did Compressed Capsule Shell have any use?

    During one of temporary events there was an item introduced which called Compressed Capsule Shell, which description says as follows:

    This compressed hydrostatic capsule shell is full of valuable technology that should command the interest of prospective buyers

    I know there was a lot of guesses about what this thing is supposed to be in future events, but it's already one and a half years passed and it seems there was nothing you could really apply this thing to (apart from selling it to NPC Jita prospective buyers). Am I missing something?

    PI Bug, I submit a ticket a few weeks ago and havent gotten a response or any confirmation that they are working on it. Pretty irritating. Capacity says its at 10k but 999,999 units is only 9999.9
