Story: Today I nearly lost my second titan + dread brawl - African Atomic & Dock Workers vs 0-Cal Posted: 20 Jan 2020 04:54 PM PST So today we(African Atomic) were on our way to Sharuveil to defend some poor innocent lowsec residents who had batphoned us . With alts from Baltroms group 0-Cal keeping a tight eye on us on our astra as we prepared to bridge in for the expected fight. We bridge in and go about our thing, not killing more than a magus, confessor, a poor little malediction and of course the astrahus we came to fight over. It should be mentioned that the enemy confessor fleet fought well and killed much of the defending fleet. Here the first red light appears, Baltrom is streaming the whole ordeal as usual, but his destination is set to Sharuveil(the system we´re fighting in). So we keep our apostle aligned out whenever it doesnt need to go into triage, Battle report. After the structure dies we pull out to the neighboring system with our apostle, when I swap my second monitor to chrome and see THIS, you can imagine the bricks I shat when I noticed 30 capitals sitting fucking ONTOP of my erebus. I quickly swap to my titan(which i thought I safelogged), and do what I shouldve done before. Burning my cyno back to archee for our extraction I hit up the brave & strong Predator Elite and ask if he is interested in 30 0-cal dreads(which he ofc also has seen on Baltroms stream). 5 mins later I cyno up on the dread blob, which you can see here(drop happens after 40s). Preds dreads enter field quickly, with ours still sitting in the fortizar. We quickly decide to bring in whatever caps we had formed for the inital timer and warp to the astrahus. We arrive on astrahus grid and fumble around for an ETERNITY(2 mins or so) before getting fleet invites sorted for primaries and so. Here you can see us 6 morons sitting tethered whilst stuff blows up around us. Battle report. The first titan loss ofc is not very interesting, as it was just me getting dunked by Ivana in my shitfit Avatar. TLDR: Fighting around, when noticing my titan on stream surrounded by 30 capitals. Move cyno and capital brawl ensues. African Atomic is recruiting, and to be fair, Dock workers and 0-cal also are(i think). Lowsec isnt THAT dead :) [link] [comments] |
A wonderful story of how a great alliance turns into a pile of turds. Fuck you Mark. Posted: 20 Jan 2020 12:43 PM PST https://zkillboard.com/kill/81158831/ Context. Bad Vibe was one of the first corps to join trigger at the request of Kendarr. We decided to join and see what happened. Turns out it was some of the best time in Eve I've had. Long story short for an unknown (speculate all you want) reason Kendarr fucked off and left the alliance to an incompetent pile of turds Mark Artreides. After a long discussion with directors and then with corp we decided we didn't like the direction the alliance was going and opted to leave. We informed Mark and left the alliance as Mark pinged this… Today Mark asks to change standings from blue (4 days after saying a minimum of 5, and the ping a week) to neut. When confronted about this this was Marks response was shitty attitude and word play. I miss Kendarr, I miss Trigger and what it stood for, nice to know one FUCKING (PC i guess) can fuck up a great thing. Edit: got the pinged message instead of a copy. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 20 Jan 2020 12:14 PM PST I know this has been said before, and most of you probably already do, but please please 2FA your accounts. Tell your friends, your corpies, the newbros you kill in Tama. Remind people in your corp bulletin, your MOTD, your bio... A very good friend and Corp mate had his account hacked recently and lost a LOT... but you don't need to be a beta player for your account to be valuable to these guys. In Eve everything you have is worth isk, and unfortunately it is so easily RTM'd that we're all targets. If all you have is the shirt in your back and 50m SP, your account is probably worth about 100 bucks, so please don't be complacent. Sorry for banging on but seeing it so close to me hit a nerve hard. Stay safe, and keep each other safe o7 [link] [comments] |
Refit Loki leads to ghost mods Posted: 21 Jan 2020 04:07 AM PST Hi all I noticed some buggy behavior with refitting off a mobile depot last night. I refit to remove some sebos and after the refit the mods were still clickable and boosted my scan resolution, even though they werent fitted per the ship fitting window. They dissapeared after jumping through a gate. Later, when I refit to put them back on I couldnt activate them, even though they were listed on my fitting window, and didnt appear even after jumping gates. Anyone else have this issue? Ill file the bug report but I wanted some community feedback as well. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 20 Jan 2020 08:56 PM PST Over my time in this game, if there's one thing that I've learned it's that no matter the amount of ISK you have, or what you can afford, the you'll never be good simply from the SP or ISK you have. The best kills you'll ever are get are with low sp, low isk, low risk, high reward fleet comps with good FCs and scouts. The feeling of accomplishment erasing ships worth 30x your fleet from the game is one of the best feelings in the game. This guy allowed himself to get scrammed by a stabber. The rest of the fleet was light tackle (newbies in t1 ships) and t1 fit t1 cruisers able to both catch up and kill with no losses. https://zkillboard.com/kill/81165196/ This, my friends is one of the main things I love about EVE. Credit to Guillaume Adoulin (scout) and Shane Rockwell (FC) for catching and killing this guy. Also:: Southern Cross Monopoly (Flying Dangerous) is recruiting newbies and vets alike. If you're a newbie, join us. If youre a vet, teach with us. :) Edit::made a couple edits on wording. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 21 Jan 2020 02:08 AM PST After recent rant I got lucky and scored a 50 mil exploration haul after being chased by some dedicated Sabre across few systems. Slowly but steadily I am reaching 250 million mark and I do want to switch from my Moa to Naga for PvE. Yes yes, i do know that it's paper thin, frigates are pain in ass and Drake is better. But I just love railguns. So i wanted to ask for a decent PvE build for that thing. Would blaster Naga with double adaptive invul field II work well, since with that it seems to be pretty cap stable (over 7 min if i also use web and ab all at once) and has stupid resists. Of course it's just a simulation fit, I don't know how well it gonna do in actual fight. [link] [comments] |

Large Rigs On Force Aux - Worth Anything? Posted: 20 Jan 2020 09:19 PM PST Title says it all, I came back to the game after a long break and I have 3x large rigs on a force aux and I was wondering if there's any collectors that buy that sort of thing. I had a niddy with large rigs on it and then the traige -> force aux update made it into a Lif. [link] [comments] |

Anti Tackle comparison - Kikimora vs Confessor vs Orthrus Posted: 20 Jan 2020 07:59 AM PST Hey, after a long break from EvE I decided to give it a try again, Iam a solo/small scale player in terms of fleet size. After some roams lately and looking into the new ships I was shocked how powerfull those new Triglavian ships where, however one of them stood out the most, the Kikimora. After downloading Pyfa again I decided to check it out thoroughly, I compared its damage application against two very popular anti tackle ships back from the days when I still played alot of EvE(~2015/2016), the Orthrus and the Confessor. The Setup: The setup is pretty much a worst case scenario for the anti tackle ship, the anti tackle ship is sitting still while beeing orbited by an tackle interceptor at the perfect angle and maximum speed(I know this is impossible/unrealistic in the game, I choose this for the sake of the argument). Results of the tests vs maximum charge Kikimora and 0 charge Kikimora: Conclusion: While turret based anti tackle ships always needed quite some piloting skill to apply their damage properly it seems all a Kikimora pilot has to do is to stay in range to the target ... it even easily out damages the confessor while the interceptor is still in web range(Confessor has a web in this simulation while the Kikimora doesnt). Further more it barely made a difference whether or not the interceptor had an ab or an mwd running in terms of application for the Kikimora. This basicly means that even if you somehow managed to get close enough to tackle the Kikimora(which is by the way also the fastest ship of the 3) its close to impossible to get under its guns. In terms of numbers the Kikimora has a tracking value of 512 while the confessor, which used to be the best anti tackle destroyer back in my days only gets a tracking value of 112(using the fitings and ammo listed below). So did they just throw balance completly out of the window or did I miss something? Fittings used: Iam a bit rusty in terms of fitting meta but I think it shouldnt be to far off from what people would fly, I kept it cheap and no implants/drugs/links: [Stiletto, mwd_tackle] -> ab version is the same, just with ab instead of mwd Damage Control II Nanofiber Internal Structure II Nanofiber Internal Structure II 5MN Y-T8 Compact Microwarpdrive Republic Fleet Medium Shield Extender Warp Scrambler II Warp Disruptor II Core Probe Launcher I Small Remote Armor Repairer II /OFFLINE Small Remote Hull Repairer II /OFFLINE Small Ionic Field Projector II Small Capacitor Control Circuit II [Confessor, anti_tackle] Heat Sink II IFFA Compact Damage Control Heat Sink II Nanofiber Internal Structure II Small Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste 5MN Y-T8 Compact Microwarpdrive Fleeting Compact Stasis Webifier Warp Disruptor II Small Focused Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Infrared S Small Focused Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Infrared S Expanded Probe Launcher II, Sisters Combat Scanner Probe /OFFLINE [Empty High slot] Small Focused Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Infrared S Small Focused Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Infrared S Small Energy Locus Coordinator II Small Polycarbon Engine Housing I Small Energy Locus Coordinator II [Orthrus, anti-tackle] (no drones) Ballistic Control System II Ballistic Control System II Ballistic Control System II Overdrive Injector System II True Sansha Warp Disruptor Republic Fleet Large Shield Extender True Sansha Warp Scrambler Republic Fleet Large Shield Extender Corelum C-Type 50MN Microwarpdrive Rapid Light Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Inferno Light Missile Rapid Light Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Inferno Light Missile Rapid Light Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Inferno Light Missile Medium Energy Neutralizer II Rapid Light Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Inferno Light Missile Rapid Light Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Inferno Light Missile Medium Polycarbon Engine Housing II Medium Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I Medium Polycarbon Engine Housing II [Kikimora, anti_tackle] Damage Control II Overdrive Injector System II Entropic Radiation Sink II Entropic Radiation Sink II Shadow Serpentis 5MN Microwarpdrive Republic Fleet Medium Shield Extender Caldari Navy Warp Disruptor Light Entropic Disintegrator II, Meson Exotic Plasma S [Empty High slot] Small Polycarbon Engine Housing II Small Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer II Small Polycarbon Engine Housing II [link] [comments] |

Is there a good World War Bee documentary? Posted: 20 Jan 2020 12:08 PM PST Is there a good documentary that goes over the major events of World War Bee? Best thing I found is this Scope video, but it's... alright at most? I've always been interested in it, but it would be great if there was a video going over what happened that I could show to people that don't play Eve. [link] [comments] |
