Eve is dead Day 9: Be a patient gamer

    Eve status twitter: https://twitter.com/EVE_status

Official forum post on issue: https://forums.eveonline.com/t/tranquility-connectivity-issues-megathread/216227

Some are reporting pressing connect on the eve screen works, others are reporting using a vpn allows access. If you use a vpn connect to a non-north American server. This is CCPs stance on VPN: https://support.eveonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/203629415-VPN-and-Proxy-Use

Reminder there isn't but so much CCP can do and the issue is more widespread than you might believe. See this for a visual of the attacks: https://www.digitalattackmap.com/

Despite the issues, EVE is still a very pretty game.

    Is the nightmare finally over?

    Posted: 04 Feb 2020 03:46 PM PST

US East here. Past 9 days have been unplayable.

Was able to instantly login on launcher, get to character screen then get into station in less than 10 seconds. Chat is working. There is absolutely no lag.

    Is...is the nightmare finally over?

It's simple. Give the people what they need, what they want, what they were born for..

Bring back the original game music and jukebox!

[SiSi] The new item sound is super annoying while refitting capitals.

    Posted: 04 Feb 2020 04:17 PM PST

I do have a run today i guess.

So for everybody that wasnt on Sisi, there is a new Sound + Pointer to show that a new item appeared. I guess this can be nice, maybe they will even restrict it to the tutorial or so, but right now its always there. Also works for new bought items in Hangar

    Red arrows eddited in.

If i now refit a capital like my Nag, that i use to test the new drifter, and i have another Hangar/container/Mobile Depot, etc open and unfit modules, i will get the annying sound and alot of hilighters. You need to hover over every item to make the red dots disappear.

Couldnt find an option, to disable it completle yet, but please disable this feature while refitting in space.

    https://zkillboard.com/kill/81448170/

Context: I joined a mid sized hisec industrial corp and wanted to move some stuff there from jita, I checked routes online (10 jumps through 1.0-6.0 systems), looked at the map for recent kills, I thought
It would be simple. After this I invested pretty much everything in moving to that corporation's system to start making money with industry and fleet mining (about 650m isk).

I know the rule to not fly what you can't afford to lose, but now I know that doesn't apply to just combat. And no, unfortunately I can't fly blockade runners, I thought those were for moving massive amounts of isk but now I know that it would have saved my ass here.

This is the infuriating part, I couldn't align because I was being bumped around by everyone leaving the jita station, then in one instant I get popped by a suicide ganker who may have just happened to cargo scan me, target, and cycle his weapons in the 5 seconds I've been out of the station.

GG, I have zero motivation to keep playing at this point.

Miners: What would it take to lure you into Low-Sec?

    Posted: 04 Feb 2020 03:00 PM PST

I have spent a lot of time recently planning development of a locally efficient Faction Warfare group. Instead of jumping a couple systems across to a High-Sec market I would prefer to support, boost, and defend, a group of miners who would be seeking profit in the minerally rich local low-sec systems.

Is this truly a bad idea? What would it take to entice you over? Is it a matter of friendship, goals, or simple isk per hour? I suppose I could provide free ships and marginally loss-making buy prices if it helped to get people to join.

Is the Cal/Gal Warzone Really as Dead as People Claim?

    Posted: 04 Feb 2020 09:01 AM PST

I've seen a fair few comments talking about how the Caldari-Gallente warzone is dead, but I'm pretty far out of the loop on FW and I'm curious how much of that is truth and how much of that is exaggeration. So please give it to me straight. Are there any active Caldari or Gallente FW corps, esp. RP-focused ones, or is it really truly just farmers as far as the eye can see?
