For all the noise they made about saving niarja and "helping the little guy," they sure as hell aren't here doing anything.

Meanwhile Goonswarm is in here with caracal and ferox doctrine fleets in addition to a gank fleet that is going full tryhard using spies to target edencom FCs.

    RIP little guy

UPDATE: FC’ed my second fight and we didn’t whelp!

    Posted: 17 Aug 2020 04:33 PM PDT

    Previous post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Eve/comments/i7fj1o/fced_my_first_fight_and_we_whelped/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

I would like to prefix this post by saying thank you to everyone who commented on my previous post. For a game that has a reputation for having a toxic community the support was universally positive and definitely contributed to me getting back on the proverbial FC horse.

In a very similar scenario to the last fight we spotted a mid sized fleet near our home and began to form. After a slow start to form up it looked like we would have the numbers but again our main FC was otherwise engaged and I decided to try my hand at FC'ing once again.

I learned so much from the last fight; I picked the engagement spot better this time, was much happier with my piloting to keep us within optimal range, felt better about my primary calling and broadcasting.

It wasn't perfect and I did call a premature evacuation when both of our logi were forced off field because I was being overly cautious.

To add to the excitement, as the first fight was winding down and the enemy extracted, an Eve University third party fleet landed on grid. Unfortunately for them the first fight finished a few minutes too early and in a straight brawl between a larger T2 cruiser fleet and a smaller T1 BC fleet the fight was quickly over.

Thank you and respect to both enemy fleets for taking the fight!

Questions on logistics of living in back water Low Sec systems

    Posted: 17 Aug 2020 05:23 PM PDT

So, me and a friend live off high sec combat exploration, and even though it paid the bills and our PLEX'es so far, it's getting a little boring and too much effort for not too good of a return.

The way I see it, we could do combat exploration in WH, or some backwater low sec with low traffic, and we decided the latter would be more accessible at least to start off. We have our 2 characters, plus one alt at our disposal, and we will split the various needed roles between these 3 characters. When we need to come and go with ammo/loot, we will do it via covert cyno/black ops/blockade runner once a week or something.

It's worth mentioning that there is an alliance living in said region, but their timezone doesn't match ours judging from the killboard activity.

    So the questions are:

    1. What is the best option to stage from?

    - Nearby NPC stations

    - Make a POS on a quiet system

    - Our own station(Maybe a engineering complex to put the alt to use while we do sites, with the bonus of bringing a second friend which only likes to mine)

    - Use the alt as a suitcase, probably in a blockade runner, and store loot and ammo in it

    2) I found some quiet systems, off the null sec pipes, with the latest killboard activity being almost 2 months ago. How easy would to be to spot an engineering complex in one of those systems if we anchor it in some planet out of dscan range from all the gates?

    3) Does this all sound like a feasible plan? Or WH would be easier/quieter?

The idea of rolling holes constantly with only 1-2 people sound fucking awful though lol.

    Thanks in advance.
