Public Speaking in Legacy : Some tips for Villy and PGL Posted: 25 Jan 2021 12:42 AM PST Honestly, the Legacy SOTA was filled with 318 umms (i think PGL was going for umms = nr. of titans trapped). Which is fine, whatever, the dudes are not good speakers. But to prove how petty and how much they need to feel superior to the rank and file members, the grammar critic coming from 2 guys who can't speak was absolutely horrendous. "I can't answer questions that I can't even read!" Legacy members could have also said: well, i can't join fleets for someone who has absolutely no plan to get my titan out but does get his super out first. Vily/PGL, lemme give you some pointers from someone who does presentations IRL:
Lastly, speak with some enthusiasm. These are your people, they deserve.... something. [link] [comments] |

test war bonds.... how did they go? Posted: 24 Jan 2021 05:03 PM PST https://clips.twitch.tv/JoyousBetterMarjoramChefFrank I just listened to tests war update, and it sounds like their war bonds didn't go as well as expected. test war bonds were opened for purchase, but they are going to extend the offer to other legacy alliances. Did test not reach their goals and are now asking other legacy alliances to chip in? Horde better hide their wallet, test will probably be opening up test war bonds to you sometime next week. Posted: 24 Jan 2021 09:07 PM PST The main challenge for Papi in M2- is that to extract supers you need local control of the grid. Hictors and dictors and mobile bubbles need to be able to be handled. That really means you have to be able to damage sub-caps. And that's really hard to achieve on a keepstar grid that is being camped and prepared for it. The ability to tether gives goons the ability to try out a fight but to disengage in the worst cases. If Papi logs in they must fight their way out or die trying. And the keepstar adds a bit of damage and tackle projection that make Papi losses inevitable. Tether makes it easier to drip drip drip in hictors and dictors. It's an asymmetric situation and very much in goons favor. Near downtime does offer some chance for disengagement but if you jump in extra supers and tank to downtime you still have to fight your way out eventually your position isn't any better. So Papi need to pick their spot fairly carefully and that's why you haven't seen the fight happen yet. But it must eventually. Important to note that goons would have a similar problem trying to evict Papi from T5Z. The defender, especially of a keep, is at an advantage. If PAPI is to break free they don't necessarily need to commit additional supers. If they can maintain subcap control then they can extract. But in the face of HAW dreads and fax support they'll need to have a counter. And that counter will also have to be robust to reshipping reinforcements flowing in from 1dq. It's a tall order. I am eagerly awaiting to see how this all plays out. Seems like the most likely play from PAPI is to form max dudes and supers on a random ping and try to get them into m2-and setup and hope you can keep flowing more numbers in than goons. Anything pre planned and getting grid loaded first becomes very critical. And defender can do that tethered. And attacker would have to do that at risk. It's going to be some random ping or some backwater timer form up where Papi just happens to outform goons harder than usual. And they'll go for it. And then we'll know who is going to win Delve. Shoutout to Vily and ProG00nLegend Posted: 24 Jan 2021 12:49 PM PST It's not every day you two hand your foes a gift on a silver platter, but that Coalition Town Hall was just a treat. Thanks for the update. [link] [comments] |
Brave sabre bubbles own carrier, results in 16b loss against TRC and Odins call Posted: 24 Jan 2021 12:36 PM PST https://br.evetools.org/br/600dd12663b1ed001b2f2ef1 TRC Thrasher gang heads to GE-8 looking for content, encounters large gate camp on V-3Y gate in GE-8, so holds in V-3Y to lure out impatient pilots. An Archon is deployed by Brave to engage us. Campers jump through to V-Y3. Brave sabre bubbles the gate, trapping the Archon in the process. Minutes later Odins call enters V-3Y with a large fleet of Cerbs. Archon, attempting to escape, jumps back to GE-8 where there are still sabre bubbles still up. Cerbs get tackle and the fight enters GE-8 entirely TRC Thrashers enter GE-8 and use tacticals and wrecks to warp away from the main fight. Proceeds to kill 400~million Gila while killing i quote "the small shit". Odins Call get to work on Archon. Brave deploy 2 FAXs and a Pheonix to assist the carrier. A TAPI pilot also undocks a Nag to help the carrier. All caps on the Brave side are destroyed. TRC Thrashers suicide warp into a FAX to get on the KM after spending 40 minutes on grid killing smaller sub-caps. Well worth the 1.7b KM. GF all, thanks to that sabre from Brave for giving us all some content tonight o7 [link] [comments] |

Posted: 24 Jan 2021 10:56 PM PST I'm really new to the game (3m SP) and I've been trying out a bit of exploration to get comfortable with basic mechanics. I've done wh and nullsec exploration and have the basics down but I keep dying to rats. As far as I know the data and relic sites I'm hunting aren't supposed to be dangerous, (players aside) but three times now I've lost 50-100m + in my cargo to NPCs while hacking and watching local for players. What am I doing wrong? [link] [comments] |
