    That is why I absolutely love this game so far. The ceiling for mastery in this game, not even for the game in general, but for each of the activities you can do in this game are all so high in a good way and I feel like I could go anywhere and do pretty much anything. Just wanted to try this game out and out of nowhere I think I just got sucked into it. o7

    <10 Smallgang Public Yeet Night

    Hey everyone. Tomorrow night <10 is hosting a public yeet event. It kicks off March 9th 6pm Pacific time (March 10th 02:00 EVE time) Formup is in JITA

    Public fleets are hard in smallgang by nature. As soon as more than a handful of people show up.....well its not really small gang anymore. So we are going to shake it up a bit and give everyone the opportunity to try out smallgang. All you need to do is join the <10 discord tomorrow and at start time, or anytime after start time, idle in the YEET GENERAL voice channel. We will drag and drop people into groups doing our best to mix and match skill levels so newer people can have a bit of guidance on what to fit and how to fly. If you have a whole bunch of blues it's cool. Just speak up and let people know before hand.

    And remember - It's not the size of your gang, It's how you use it.

    I have stuff now.

    I finished the military career agent, killed some belt rats (almost died), ran an Angel refuge (almost died), and then finished the advanced military career agent (almost died), where I got a Thrasher. Right now, it has a few mismatched autocannons on it, along with the 5MN MWD (dropped by the first rat yesterday), a Compact Explosive Shield Hardener, and an X5 Enduring Stasis Webifier in the mids, and an armor rep and an overdrive injector in the lows.

    Because the Thrasher uses a lot of ammo, I bought a Carbonized Lead S BPO (if you didn't read the edit yesterday, the rules were revised to allow for purchasing of all NPC BPOs, instead of just ships and modules without a meta variant) and started making 18 runs with reprocessed modules. The main issue here was Pyerite, I didn't have much of it and didn't want to reprocess anything else.

    After I started that, I ran 2 or 3 missions with the Industry career agent to get a Venture and a mining laser. This will allow me to start mining the ores needed to produce more ships, because it's just a fact that I'll lose some.

    Future goals from this point forward are to

    1. Get more minerals and better ammo - Carbonized Lead kind of sucks. EMP would be the best, but it requires Nocxium, which I USED to be able to mine from Pyroxeres (Thank you CCP) but now have to go to lowsec for. I could also use Titanium Sabot, because it only needs Mexallon, something I can get easily.
    2. Obtain Rupture BPC - I have decided to go with the Rupture when I get a cruiser. The ship has a decent armament, and can field 5 light drones in addition to the 4 guns and the missile launcher.
    3. Rigs - salvage or highsec relic sites should get me some tech 1 salvage to make rigs, which are going to be important in the near future.
    4. (A lot of other things)
    5. Build battleship - can't lose sight of the end goal here

    I'm also hoping to get into lowsec and nullsec in the near future for the minerals and loot, I just need better stuff first. I think u/WreckingShot was right, this is more fun than normal EVE.

    Sorry Legacy, turns out it was a real trendline after all - in ZXB, you contributed just 20% of capitals/supercapitals to Panfam's 80%

    A few weeks ago I posted this thread looking at Legacy's participation in PAPI fleets, to see if their internal problems had impacted their fleet numbers.

    The data and trendlines seemed clear. Relative to Panfam, Legacy participation was declining.

    However, while many Panfam pilots quietly nodded in agreement then pretended they had a twitch in their neck when Legacy were looking, Legacy themselves were most displeased. They angrily attacked the thread and highlighted several 'flaws' in the analysis;

    • I had picked the wrong battles
    • I had picked the wrong timezones
    • I was bitter and not a real doctor

    However, I had selected the two largest fights on record, and the largest most recent fight, so it seemed a reasonable dataset. And when challenged to provide alternative data Legacy went quiet.

    But I made a promise. And it's a promise I intend to keep.

    I assured Legacy that, as soon as there was another fight featuring more than 1500 PAPI on the killboard, I would add that data point.

    Legacy, you should have just left the analysis well alone.

    The original thread actually made you look pretty good because the final datapoint (8WA) had unusually high Brave numbers. I'm sure Legacy have their excuses already lined up, so allow me to get them in on their behalf in advance;

    • Not fair because timezone
    • We had more people in T5Z who didn't want to whore on a keepstar killmail
    • We were conducting critical anti-Blood Raider operations in Period Basis
    • We could have formed more but didn't want to
    • I am bitter and not a real doctor.

    In anticipation of this ("we didn't bring our subcaps") I have also isolated the supercaptital/capital data from ZXB and it's even worse for Legacy. As a proportion of the fleet, they brought just 21% of fielded supercapitals/capitals.

    That concludes this 100% objective and bias-free overview of why Legacy are shit and why Panfam are good and will you please go home so we can steamroll Legacy. Or join in if you want - it'll be more fun than assaulting 1DQ!
